Resident Evil: Apocalypse

Continuity mistake: When the scientists are standing at the entrance to the Hive, one of them opens a small transmitter, reflected in his mask, with its antenna pointing over 45 degrees. When it cuts, the antenna is pointing almost horizontally. (00:02:45)

Mortug

Continuity mistake: In the church, Peyton asks Terri about her video camera. She has it raised to shoulder height. Cut to her face and the camera's gone. The next shot is through the camera and shows the same view of Peyton we could see before over her shoulder, so she didn't move it. (00:20:45)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: When Alice has refused to finish Nemesis off, she stands alone. Mr. Bad Guy tells Nemesis to kill her, and two Umbrella men suddenly appear out of nowhere beside her.

Continuity mistake: In the church scene, Alice blows up her motorcycle with two shots of her Colt .45's. During the shot of her back, she already starts with holstering her guns, her arms are already halfway there when the shot cuts. Then, there is a quick shot of the explosion, and in the next shot her arms are straight again, in the position where they were when she took a shot at her bike. There is no reason or time enough to do that.

Friso94

Continuity mistake: When Alice is asleep and submerged in the water tank her body is in a fetal position. She wakes up and moves around. The water is then drained from the tank, but she's still in the exact same fetal position. (01:20:45)

Continuity mistake: At the end, as the doctor walks away from Alice after questioning her, she changes from looking up at him to looking down between shots. (01:22:45)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: Watch the remains of the metal bar that sticks out of the building after Nemesis ripped it off to fight Alice. If you look at the point of the metal it is horizontal. When Nemesis is pushed onto it, it is vertical. (01:08:30)

Continuity mistake: When LJ shows his custom guns to the STARS, he opens his coat and pulls the tail behind his back. In the wide shot, his arms are out to the sides. (00:37:15)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: When the Suburban is T-boned, it is replaced with an older 92-94 Suburban with the front end of a newer 00-04 Suburban installed in place of the older front end. Older model 6 spoke wheels are installed instead of the 00-04 wheels shown in previous scenes. In one of the shots towards the end of the sequence, a completely different 96-99 suburban is shown rolling over with five spoke wheels, and the scene is mirrored.

Continuity mistake: Early on a pallet is leaning against a building with nothing next to it as two star members are backing up shooting at zombies. About eight seconds later you see an aluminum tube standing in front of that pallet. It then comes and goes. (00:15:00)

Factual error: When any character's automatic pistol runs out of bullets, the slide doesn't lock open. All the weapons shown are of a type which should.

Trivia: The part when Alice is running in the building being shot at by helicopters and when she is being seized by the Umbrella guards and she drops her gun and catches it in mid-air and shoots them is taken from the beginning sequence of the game Resident Evil Code Veronica.

Question: Why doesn't the dogs senses dumb down with infection? Obviously human senses degrade when they turn into zombies, but the dogs keep their speed and ability to smell scents.

Answer: First, the T-virus affects humans and dogs differently - zombie dogs look like they've been skinned, but zombie humans just look dead. Second, there's little evidence that human senses have been dimmed, it's just that zombies are stupider without higher brain functions (explained in the first movie) and are slower because they conserve energy for actual attacks, not moving. Dogs are much more efficient predators than humans and don't need to slow down as much because a few bites will take down prey.
