Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Scott runs over to Fiona and kisses her. She says "Congratulations graduate" and is holding a jacket quite high whilst her arm is bent. In the next shot, her arm is straight and the jacket is down by her waist. (00:03:35)

Continuity mistake: When Fiona is dumping Scott, in the background you can see Scott's father walking over to the stand besides Scott's mother. If you look directly behind them you will see an older couple watching them. In the next shot we see a closeup of Scott's parents but there isn't anyone standing behind them. (00:04:25)

Continuity mistake: When Scott yells to Fiona that the leather jacket isn't his, the shot changes to Scott's father starting to walk over to Scott, and he's carrying a cloth in his hand. In the next shot the cloth has disappeared. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: When we first see Scott's computer, if you look to the left of it you can see the corner of a book very close to the computer (I am assuming it is the dictionary). In the next shot the desk next to the computer is empty and the dictionary is further over to the left. (00:05:35)

Continuity mistake: After the graduation, we see Scott writing an e-mail to Meike for the first time in the movie. He writes nearly a line, stops, and the next shot of the computer screen shows that there is about three lines just as he starts typing again. (00:05:55)

Continuity mistake: In the graduation party scene, when the band starts singing "Scotty Doesn't Know": Just as the main chorus kicks in, Kristin Kreuk starts dancing on stage. The film cuts from a close up to a wide shot of the stage and Kristin is waving her red jacket around and throws it in the crowd. The shot then goes to close up and mysteriously the jacket is back on her again. It's short and you can only see parts of her shoulders, but they are red. (00:09:10)

Continuity mistake: In the scene after the party, Burt is on Scotty's computer typing. However, there's already an entire paragraph there and no more words are coming up. Also, a word in the beginning of the paragraph is highlighted for no reason. In the next shot, this highlighted word helps prove a point for Burt. (00:14:00)

Continuity mistake: When Scotty and Cooper leave for London, the airplane taking off has an engine on its tail. The very next shot is of a different airplane that has no engine on its tail. (00:19:10)

Continuity mistake: When Scott asks the soccer hooligan where they are going (when they're on the bus), you can see that right at this moment the bus is about to pass underneath a bridge. The shot changes, but there isn't any visible indication that they passed underneath the bridge. (00:26:05)

Continuity mistake: After Jaime introduces his Leica M7, he switches from swatting Scotty with his left hand to his right hand and back. (00:28:35)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: When Scott and Cooper meet up with Jamie and Jenny in Paris, at the end of their conversation Jamie says "Let's go to the Louvre." When he says this his book is down by his side. In the next shot he has the book open in front of him. The shot changes again, and again the book is down by his side. (00:29:05)

Continuity mistake: When the group is at the dinner table in Paris, Jenny says "We can go to Denmark," and Cooper has his wine glass in his hand. In the next shot we see Cooper, and his arm is down with no wine glass. In the next shot, the glass is back in his hand again. (00:33:20)

Continuity mistake: In the train station when Jenny meets Cristoph, the trains appear and disappear several times. (00:34:40)

Continuity mistake: Madame Vandersexxx writes the safe word starting in the middle of the slip of paper, but when Cooper looks at it later, it starts on the left side of the paper. (00:50:20 - 00:51:30)

Phoenix

Continuity mistake: When Cooper is at the sex club and the dominatrix Madame Vandersexxx hands him the paper with the safe word on it, he takes it and goes to put it in his shirt pocket. The scene cuts and he is holding it in front of him again, then in a few seconds puts it in his shirt pocket. (00:50:30)

Jack's Revenge

Factual error: Near the beginning of the film there is a map of Europe with the countries coloured in using their respective flags. Great Britain is coloured with the Union Jack (Union Flag) pattern but so is the Republic of Ireland (Eire). The Republic of Ireland is not part of the United Kingdom (the political state) or Great Britain (the geographical term for the island), only the British Isles - they are a separate country and the Union jack is not their country's flag. Only the north or the Irish landmass (Northern Ireland) and Britain should show the Union Jack. If they are using an "old map" it would have to be very old, before the 1920's.

Cooper: This sucks. I can't believe I'm the only one who didn't hook up while we were here. Europe is officially the worst country on earth.

Question: Is this movie related (ie producer, director) to the Austin Powers films? The main character's name is Scotty, and the old lady in the confessional is from Austin Powers.

Answer: There doesn't appear to be any significant overlap. Scott is hardly an uncommon name and seeing an actress from one film in another isn't exactly uncommon either - neither implies any greater link.
