Continuity mistake: In the scene where Dewey and Ms. Mullins are in the bar, the shots from behind Ms. Mullins sitting down show that her left hand is on the table. However, the shots showing the front of Ms. Mullins show her arms folded.

Audio problem: Just after Quinn has been nailed to the wall at the beginning of the movie, he makes some strange noises and then starts talking in "vampire language." This has obviously been dubbed in post-production.

Continuity mistake: After the graduation, we see Scott writing an e-mail to Meike for the first time in the movie. He writes nearly a line, stops, and the next shot of the computer screen shows that there is about three lines just as he starts typing again. (00:05:55)

Continuity mistake: When Gordy kills The Wolf, The Wolf falls on the floor and has his back supported up against a box before he collapses onto his side. In the next couple of shots of The Wolf, you can see that the box is gone.

Factual error: After the volcanic eruption, there's a scene where we see our heroes going across a lake, which has been turned to acid by the lava. If this acid is strong enough to corrode the propeller, then surely the fumes would be destroying their lungs, in which case they should be dead, or close to it.

Plot hole: In the mine shaft, with the lift going the speed it does, it would take over 10 minutes to travel 2000 feet. Yet our characters manage to do it in about two minutes (use the bomb timer for reference). With the bomb timer starting at 30 minutes (not to mention Travolta puts it down to 13 in a later shot), everyone in the mine should be dead before they could escape.

Continuity mistake: Just before the huge wave hits the library, we see that Laura cuts her leg. She cuts it on the side of the top part of her leg. Later in the movie, when her trouser leg is pulled back to reveal the wound, it is now on the front of her lower leg. (00:47:50 - 01:30:15)
