Kill Bill: Volume 2

Question: Why would Kiddo sneak up, ninja-style, on Budd when she had confronted all the other opponents face-to-face? He seemed the least formidable and it didn't seem to match with her other warrior battles.

pambula88

Answer: She approached each foe in a manner appropriate to the situation. Budd was in a trailer surrounded by open land and total visibility, and he also knew she was coming, so sneaking up, quietly and unobtrusively, made sense. The real question is why, after taking so many precautions and being so quiet, she flung the door open and charged in as noisily and vulnerably as possible.

Answer: Technically, yes. However, you'd have to be in a (rather flimsy) wooden coffin, which is unlikely, unless you live in the past; you'd have to punch your way out before running out of oxygen, which is also unlikely (even with years of martial arts training that specifically included how to punch a hole in wood at very close range); and you'd have to escape before the roughly 65 cubic feet of dirt on top of you poured into the coffin and suffocated you anyway. Finally, Beatrix definitely gets some help through editing, which you won't have.

Answer: Tarantino once explained to David Carradine that Budd was also in love with Beatrix. He left the DVAS right after the wedding massacre because he was upset he had to kill her.

Question: Why was Beatrix so shocked to hear Elle killed Pai Mei?

MikeH

Answer: When Beatrix trained with Pai Mei we see that if you listen to him and respect him then he has a lot to teach. She wasn't so much shocked that Elle killed him...she is shocked at the lack of respect Elle showed in killing him.

Question: What does Elle say when Bud is blending margaritas?

Answer: "So this is a Hatori Hanzo sword." Budd asks her to repeat herself because he didn't hear and she does.

Kill Bill: Volume 2 mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Bill is cutting the crusts off a sandwich towards the end, he cuts two off, goes to remove the third, then the angle changes and he's now cutting it in half. After that we hear him sweep the crusts off the board and see him hand the sandwich to BB, then a shot or two later crusts are back on the board and he cleans them off again to make another sandwich. Elle Driver: What's that?
Beatrix Kiddo: Budd's Hanzo sword.
Elle Driver: He said he pawned it.
Beatrix Kiddo: Well, then, I guess that makes him a liar, now don't it?

Trivia: A piece of Bill's dialogue makes a fairly subtle reference to Reservoir Dogs when he says to the Bride something along the lines of, "I hear the kneecap is a very painful place to get shot." This homages Harvey Keitel's character telling Mr. Orange that "along with the kneecap, the stomach is the most painful place someone can be shot."
