Other mistake: Towards the beginning of the movie, Castelgard is misspelled "Castlegard" on the lab's computer screen when Doniger is first explaining everything to the soon-to-be time-travelling team.

Timeline (2003)
1 other mistake - chronological order
Directed by: Richard Donner
Starring: Gerard Butler, David Thewlis, Paul Walker, Billy Connolly, Anna Friel, Frances O'Connor
Factual error: In the very beginning, the doctors are working to revive the man found in the desert. You can see the heart monitor is flatlined and they get out the paddles to shock his heart back into rhythm. However, even when he is shocked by the paddles the monitor doesn't register anything. The shock from the paddles alone would have made the heart monitor spike up for that second but you can see it's flatlined the entire time. The other issue with this, is that you cannot shock a flatline. Medically this is not a shockable rhythm. (00:01:35)
Kate Ericson: There's one thing worse than dying here, and that's living here.
Trivia: Timeline was filmed with no CGI. The battle scenes, time transport, etc, were all created through other filming techniques...although a few of the scenes are slightly computer enhanced.
Question: At the end of the movie, when they find out when Marek died, why does Kate say "...or 1971"?

Answer: Kate is actually saying, "Born 1971."
