Blue Streak

Question: In the scene where the three officers (one of them being Martin Lawrence) went to the airport to check out the situation there, Mallone picks up a piece of the exhibit. Wouldn't the FBI run the prints on the items, and if so, Martin Lawrence's fingerprints would come up and reveal his true identity since he is in the system?

Answer: Yes, however Malone is not a real cop, only pretending to be one. Therefore it is safe to assume he would not know procedures of the police department and would not think his prints would be run by the FBI. He thinks he is safe because he is a cop. That's how big his ego is.

Yes, but the reason they don't worry about fingerprints is because they decided to immediately set up the sting operation, since they only had hours before the package was to be delivered in 3 hours. So, they had to hurry and make it there in time to do the bust.

Question: In the scene when Logan intrudes on a briefing while looking for the diamond, the policemen mention something like the P-30 or something to that effect. What is it?

Answer: The P-30s they were discussing were the department-issued guns the cops had. They were complaining that they were not good to use and since Logan was lead detective, they made him decide what to do with the issue.

Question: How is it that Carlson can know that Miles hid the diamond in the police station, but not know what Miles looks like?

Phaneron

Answer: He most likely noticed a lot of weird stuff and started piecing it together. Like Miles having an obsession with the ventilation system, Tulley shouting Miles over and over again down the alley and again when he says Logan owes him $50,000. He'd be able to access police records and see that Miles Logan was arrested inside that very building whilst it was still under construction but the diamond wasn't on him... At this point, it wouldn't take much to figure out what was happening and who he was.

But if there are records of Miles' arrest that he can access, shouldn't there be an accompanying mugshot?

Phaneron

Continuity mistake: In the scene where he is driving the remote control car, he has glasses and a remote control. He walks into a debriefing still driving the car but when the lights go on the glasses and remote vanish.

Trivia: Anytime there is an overhead shot of the LAPD police cars, number 664 is always there. ML even drives it at one point, and I think in one shot where he chases the armoured car, its number is 664.
