Character mistake: When Billy comes back from high school to visit his 3rd grade class, Ms. Vaughn is teaching prime numbers. The board reads "1, 3, 5, 7, 11" with the words "prime numbers" below it. "1" is not a prime number and it is written on the board, and "2" is a prime number and it is not written on the board.

Continuity mistake: In the scene when Billy and the bad guy are facing off in the "learning decathalon" and they are doing some science stuff, Billy pulls a shoe out of the boiling pot - it is his right shoe but he has his right shoe on his foot too.
Billy Madison: He's going to shit when he realises it's shit!
Trivia: Something to look for: In the scene where Billy calls the people to apologise, that guy crosses his name off the "people to kill list." If you look at the top of the list, the name Bob Simonds is there. Bob Simonds is the producer of the movie.
