Other mistake: When Eddie is in his apartment and on the hunt for a new job, he uses his phone to text a contact while looking for work. His phone shows no signal meter. (00:23:10)
Other mistake: When Maria dies after infecting Eddie with the symbiote her head's turned to her right. A shot of Eddie then her again, suddenly her head's turned towards Eddie who's on her left on the floor.
Continuity mistake: During the car chase scene, Eddie and Venom squeeze between some cars and the enemy SUV behind him smashes through them. The headlights of the SUV get busted, but in the next shot the SUV is perfectly fine again.
Venom: You come in here again, in fact, you go anywhere in this city preying on innocent people and we will find you and eat both your arms and then both of your legs and then we will eat your face right off your head. Do you understand?
Robber: Please.
Venom: Yes. So, you will be this armless, legless, faceless thing, won't you? Rolling down the street, like a turd in the wind. Do you feel me?
Robber: What the hell are you?
[Venom's face partially opens to reveal Eddie's face]
Eddie/Venom: We...are Venom.
[Venom's face fully reforms]
Venom: On second thought.
Robber: Please.
[Venom kills the robber].
Trivia: When Ann and Eddie are on their date, Ann reminds Eddie of his firing from the Daily Globe. In the Spider-Man comics, Eddie Brock was a reporter for the Daily Globe, a rival newspaper of the Daily Bugle. In the comics, a string of murders were being carried out by a serial killer named the Sin-Eater. Eddie interviewed a man who claimed to be the Sin-Eater but Spider-Man captured the real one and the man that Eddie interviewed was found out to be a compulsive confessor. This incident caused Eddie to get fired from the Daily Globe and sometime after becoming Venom, moves to San Francisco after agreeing with Spider-Man that they will not bother each other on the condition that Eddie no longer commits any more crimes.
Question: During Venom's fight with the SWAT team, he throws an officer off a balcony and the officer lets out a Wilhelm scream. Why was this scream taken out in the DVD and Blu-Ray?
