Revealing mistake: If you look at the missing part of the bridge, and look at the shadow underneath, the shadow is of a full bridge. (01:02:35)

Revealing mistake: After the first bus explosion when Jack answers the phone, he looks at his watch, which shows 8:05 a.m. If you look closely the watch is on alarm, not regular time. (00:29:05)

Continuity mistake: When Jack tries to get on the bus on the highway, he hits the door window and breaks it with his elbow. Later, when he finally catches up with the bus and gets on from the moving car, the door window is intact. Several times later it is visible, no break. Then later, when the bus is on the freeway, the glass is shown broken again, but in a different pattern. (00:33:40)

Visible crew/equipment: When the bus is about to jump the bridge, you can see that the bridge is flat, apart from the broken part, but when the bus jumps over the bridge, there's wood and stuff piled up at the end, making it "kick". (01:03:35)

Revealing mistake: When Jack and Annie are getting off the bus via the access panel on the floor you can see wheels on the bottom of it. You can also see that Keanu Reeves was replaced by an obvious stuntman. (01:30:00)

Continuity mistake: At the airport the black sign on the side of the bus disappears for one shot. (01:09:00)

Revealing mistake: When the first bus is blowing up, in the shot of the right side of the bus as it's being engulfed in flames, look closely and you'll see the cable attached to the front of the bus, under its bumper, as it's slowly being pulled by the van in front of it (some DVD or Blu-ray versions may have been edited). (00:26:45)

Continuity mistake: When Jack shoots Harry, the door (to the garage) behind Payne has a deadbolt lock right above the door's finger plate, but just before the door blows up that deadbolt lock has vanished. (00:22:35)

Continuity mistake: When they run onto the roof near the start, there's another trooper behind Harry running onto the roof (only visible in widescreen - in 4:3 it looks like a weird reflection). In the following shot of Keanu Reeves you can see the reflections of Harry and the other guy on the plastic covering the scaffolding. We're led to believe that Harry and Jack should be the only ones up there, as everyone else has a job to do. Aside from those two shots, this third trooper disappears once they start hooking the crane up. (00:11:30)

Visible crew/equipment: The side camera is visible in a couple of shots when the bus has to make the tight right turn, after the bus returns all the wheels to the ground, as it smashes into the cop car. (00:45:20)

Other mistake: As the first bus explodes on its way from the cafe, we can see a blonde pedestrian casually walk past a window with her ears covered. At no point does she even stop to glance at the burning wreck. It seems (from her perspective) as though the explosion were merely an inconvenient loud noise and nothing worth noticing. (00:27:55)

Other mistake: Towards the end when Dennis Hopper is on the subway train with Sandra Bullock, he has a gun in one hand and the detonator in the other. However, when the camera cuts to a close-up of him handcuffing Sandra to the pole, both hands are empty. If he took his hand off the detonator, the explosives attached to Sandra should've exploded, but they didn't. In the next shot, both items are back in his hand. (01:39:50)

Continuity mistake: When Jack and Harry are on the top of the building at the start, Jack climbs up a ladder and proceeds to walk along to the crane. In one shot he moves the big gun round to his back, and in the following shot the big gun is still in front of him. (00:11:55)

Revealing mistake: When the train is sliding along the ground near the end, there are sparks coming from the underneath (supposedly where the metal scrapes the pavement). Look more closely, and you can see that the sparks are coming from a bit of the train that's not touching the pavement anywhere. (01:44:55)

Continuity mistake: After Keanu commandeers the civilian's car, breaks off the door and jumps to the bus the civilian loses control and heads for the water barrels in front of the divider. Right before he hits you can already see water all over his windshield. (00:38:20)

Visible crew/equipment: After Lieutenant McMahon requests to be flown to the 105 freeway interchange, a camera operator can be seen standing beside an overpass column when the bus and police escort drive by. (00:52:50)

Continuity mistake: Just before the first bus explodes, Jack leaves the cafe and puts his coffee cup onto the top of his car. When he runs back to his car, the coffee cup is different as well as in a different position. (00:26:25)

Revealing mistake: During the rescue of the elevator passengers at the start of the movie, when coaxing the last woman out, there is a shot of the interior of the elevator where you can see the ground through the hole in the elevator floor, even though the elevator is still meant to be on the 22nd floor. (00:16:47)

Continuity mistake: After Jack wounds Harry's leg, Payne makes his escape to the parking garage. Watch as a garbage can appears from nowhere on the left hand side of the door frame in the shot where Payne starts laughing maniacally. (00:22:40)

Visible crew/equipment: Aside from the mysterious other trooper(s) reflected in the tarpaulin on the roof near the start, as Keanu Reeves runs past it, you can see the clear silhouette and red light of a cameraman filming the scene. (00:11:30)
Suggested correction: This might be correct, but it depends on the sun's position. If the sun is to the far left of the shot, the gap in the shadow would appear somewhere far to the right of where the actual gap is.
Nice try. Look at the shadows of the bridge trestles and those on the small brown building to the right of the photo. The sun is to the left of the bridge, and the shadow is exactly what you would expect to see if the bridge was complete - which it was, by the way. The "gap" is CGI.
Original guy was right to pick up the full shadow and the gap is CGI, both suggested corrections erred in saying the sun was in the left or even far left as the reference point for the position of the sun is the bridge in the far background that seems to be over a canal where the shadow indicates that the sun is almost directly overhead.
Again, nice try. All three trestles holding up the unfinished section of the bridge are casting long shadows to their right, as is the small black vehicle visible on top of the bridge itself. The shadow of the section of the bridge that was removed by CGI (that is, the shadow that should not exist) is displaced some distance to the right of the bridge itself. The sun cannot possibly be 'almost directly overhead'.
