Factual error: I don't know of any court system in the U.S. that will allow a person, teenager or not, to get into shootouts, steal a car, and maliciously run over/kill someone while fleeing a crime, and all they get is time in a juvenile detention center because they're underage. Whether you're a teen or not, if you commit crimes like that, you get tried as an adult, no exceptions, which means prison.
Bad Boys (1983)
1 factual error
Directed by: Rick Rosenthal
Starring: Sean Penn, Reni Santoni, Eric Gurry, Jim Moody
Continuity mistake: Horowitz applies the corrosive chemical to one fence, but when he and Mick escape the next day, they break through two fences.
Suggested correction: Only one fence was shown in the scene just to most likely show viewers what he was doing to it with the corrosive. He easily could have done the same to a second fence, but it wasn't shown on camera.
Horowitz: That's Lofgren. They call him Viking. I call him shit for brains.
Viking Lofgren: Shut your fucking mouth, Horowitz.
Trivia: According to the audio commentary on the DVD, actress Jamie Lee Curtis makes a very quick cameo at the beginning of the film. However, her name is not listed in the credits.
Question: When the radio Viking holds explodes, what besides the loud noise and some smoke injured Viking the way it did? He had blood on his face after a few seconds and was yelling while lying down. What exactly was the background to this explosion and how did this severely injure Viking?
Answer: Horowitz rigged the boom box to short out electrically and explode. Viking likely was cut up by chunks of shrapnel coming off the front. The effects aren't great.
