The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Corrected entry: When Brad and Janet's station wagon gets a flat tire, the light in the car is a bright white that is emanating from the floor (note the shadows above them and the ones on their faces). If the light was from the dashboard or dome light, it would be more yellow and cast downward shadows on their faces.

Correction: Every car I have ever owned had lights in the floorboard that came standard with the vehicle, including a dome light that can be switched on or off seperately. The dome light simply does not turn on, while the floorboard lights are apparently on, causing the white light and upward cast shadows.

No car that I, or anyone I know, has ever owned has had lights in the floorboards. I didn't even know it was a thing until reading about it here.

Corrected entry: In the beginning, at the wedding scene, Brad goes from wearing a kilt in one shot to dancing in pants for the 'Dammit Janet' musical number.

Correction: Though it appears Brad is wearing a kilt he is in fact just wearing a tartan cummerbund.

Corrected entry: When Janet is in the tank with Rocky and the faces of the other characters appear above her singing the line 'creature of the night', Frank's mouth moves different from the words; his line is badly dubbed.

Correction: His mouth isn't out of sync.

Hamster

Corrected entry: In the pool scene, in the background, you can clearly see when Tim Curry was accidentally kicked in the groin.

Correction: Not a mistake, it could happen in that kind of situation. There are legs and arms going in all directions.

Correction: The water never changes colour. During timewarp it is possible to see that the dispenser is only half full. When Frank-N-Furter gets his drink you can only see the top half without any liquid. When he throws the cup at the camera the liquid is clearly red, you may need to watch it in slow motion to see it.

Correction: When Frank-N-Furter drinks from the water dispenser we only see the top half of the dispenser. During timewarp we can see that the dispenser is half full also. We can see Frank-N-Furter get a cup, fill it, take a sip then throw it at the camera all in one shot.

Corrected entry: I am not sure if this only happens only in the DVD, but at the end when all of them are dancing Columbia's boob pops out and she keeps dancing like that.

Correction: Not only that but, when Columbia sings the Rose tints my world part, the way she is moving her body is her attempt at putting her breasts back into her costume.

Correction: At 1:17:12-28 (Rose Tints My World), the others are still stone, you can see both her nipples quite well peeking over the top of her bustier, but it's a close up so it's hard to believe it's a "mistake". At 1:24:02-08 (Wild and Untamed Thing), they're all turned to one side, dancing with their arms over their head and jumping up and down, you can see pretty much all of one "side-breast" then they turn the other way and you can see the other, but they don't stay out and it's a very wide shot.

Corrected entry: During the time warp song, Janet's hair is uncombed, messy and has clips in the front. After the elevator ride to the lab, her hair is more curly, fluffy and without the hair clips.

Correction: Janet removes her clips while walking to the elevator, watch closely.

Corrected entry: At the wedding Janet is wearing black shoes but when she and Brad are at the castle she is wearing the same type of shoes except they're white.

Correction: How do we know this all takes place on the same day? There could have easily been time for a change of shoes between scenes.

Corrected entry: When Frank-N-Furter whips the tablecloth off, none of the assembled cast knew that there was a mockup Eddie corpse underneath. the shock they express was real.

Correction: Not quite, they did know it was there, for if you look at it frame by frame we see 1 or 2 of the cast members "freaking out" before you can even see the corpse.

If you listen to Richard O'Brien and Patricia Quinn's commentary on the 40th anniversary Blu ray, they actually do say that the cast didn't know Eddie's corpse was there! I can only assume the early reactions are just the cast following their directions in the script.

Corrected entry: With seconds to go before the castle takes off like a rocket and disappears, Brad and Janet carry the lame Dr. Scott out the front door. After the house disappears, we see pieces of Dr. Scott's wheelchair among the rubble. Did they really push the wheelchair out the door before getting out themselves, with their lives at stake and almost no time to spare?

Correction: If you watch closely, you can see the wheelchair is left at the door and they carry/drag him further away from the blast zone. Did you think that they should leave their great friend and mentor at the mercy of Magenta and Riff Raff, never to see his own home planet again?

Visible crew/equipment: Just as Eddie rides his motorcycle down from the lab's upper level, in the shot from behind him, set equipment and a few crew members are seen gathered at the top right of the screen, just before the shot cuts away. (00:44:40)

Trivia: At one point on set, the cast had an off-camera Easter egg hunt. Some were never found - you can see at least three of the eggs in the film: one under Frank-N-Furter's throne, one in the main hall in place of the light, and another when they are going up to the lair in the elevator.

Question: One of my co-workers said the first line in the show was, "Michael Renee was sick the day the Earth stood still". Could you give me the exact first line and what it means?

Answer: The first line to the lyrics of 'Science Fiction/Double Feature' is "Michael Rennie was ill The Day the Earth Stood Still, but he told us where we stand." That line is a reference to the 1951 film classic 'The Day the Earth Stood Still', which stars Michael Rennie as Klaatu, the alien from outer-space, who is shot at the start of the film when he tries to convey a dire message of goodwill to the humans. The rest of the song lyrics refer to other science fiction films including 'The Invisible Man' starring Claude Rains, 'King Kong' starring Fay Wray, and 'Tarantula' starring Leo G. Carroll.
