Robocop 2

Question: When RoboCop is at the hideout, we see several "artifacts" (like the skeleton of Elvis). As he leaves, the camera focuses on something and pans up on it. What is it suppose to be?

Question: I know that Nuke is a drug but what kind of drug and why dose everyone want the drug so bad.

Answer: We're never given specifics about it, but we do know it's the most addictive drug in history.

Answer: They're not related. Hob was just a skilled fighter and leader and Cain essentially made Hob his apprentice in the Nuke Cult.

Question: Does anyone know what they did with officer Duffy after they started cutting him open?

Answer: In the novelization, they dumped his corpse outside the police HQ.

Question: If the creation of Robocop 2 called for a brain, then how come when they removed Kane's' brain from his skull did they also take the eyes?

Answer: Just so it would look creepy in the jar (or maybe they thought they were worth keeping, then decided against it). Notice when Robocop pulls Kane's brain out of the 'bot later, the eyes are no longer there.

Question: When RoboCop is being stripped, what is that thing Hob squirts him with before the scene cuts? And how many crazy directives does OCP give RoboCop after he's reprogrammed?

Brandon York

Answer: To answer the first question, it's some sort of tubing and fluid from inside of Robocop... so something like oil or something along those lines. Something that Robocop's robotic body uses to function. As for the second question, I do not believe it's ever mentioned specifically, but online searches say it's over 300 new directives. (Though we never see all of them).

Question: Hob (the kid) offers the governor of Detroit 50 million in exchange for his uninvolvement in their drug sales. Didn't the laboratory and their chemist perish in an explosion earlier? How are they planning on creating the drugs?

Answer: They are not going to keep just one lab for all the drugs they make, and they are not going to allow just one chemist to assist in the making of said drugs. Obviously they have others.

Question: It's stated that Robocop packs a lot of weight. How then can he ride a motorcycle, without the shocks being almost rammed down to the ground?

Roger Pedersen

Chosen answer: It's likely the bike was specially made for Robocop or it was otherwise modified to accommodate the extra weight.

Question: The first Robocop 2 attempt managed to commit suicide by shooting himself at where I assume the brain was located. Wasn't this a major oversight in design that the cyborg wasn't made out of hard/thick enough metal so it wouldn't be possible to kill it with a single shot?

Answer: It became apparent that the original Robocop was an extremely lucky one-off success, as the second-generation Robocop experiments were thwarted by incompatibilities that drove the human subjects quite mad. The second-generation Robocop experiments were, thus, probably not outfitted with bulletproof armor in the test stages, just in case they went crazy and had to be put down.

Charles Austin Miller

Question: The two failed RoboCop 2s wound and perhaps killed a person. Weren't they programmed with the prime directives?

Answer: They were programmed with the prime directives but Alex Murphy was a special case. His strong moral fiber and dedication to his profession allowed him to remain sane and accept the directives. The failed specimens never accepted their programming.

Visible crew/equipment: When Dr. Faxx is programming the new directives into RoboCop, the camera pans around RoboCop's body. You can see the reflections of a camera and a crew member on RoboCop's helmet. (00:47:55)
