Revealing mistake: When Picasso removes the first finger from Fan Yau Lee's hand, you can see that there is no blood on the instrument used.
Continuity mistake: Ewan and Mark are seen drawing their guns outside of Paul's house with silencers on. As they enter the house, the silencers are off. Once Ewan is upstairs, and Mark goes outside to look for Paul, they are back on the guns.
Continuity mistake: The main character alternates between driving a Ford probe and a Saturn throughout the movie. (00:15:00 - 01:00:00)
Continuity mistake: Just after the beginning, the Aussie man, walking with a tiny dog, has an ice cream in his hand that vanishes - one second it's there and the next second it's gone.
Deliberate mistake: When the cop car is ramming the back of the trunk of Dorff's car, you can tell it is a Ford. The filmmakers however, have put gaffer tape over the logo.
Other mistake: How could Argie and Barker get round the skateboard track and up the stairs to the platform, especially with Barker, in less than 5 seconds?
Revealing mistake: Right in the beginning of the movie, we see young Viktor holding a gun to a young girl, about to shoot her. The gun is a revolver and as it comes into focus, you can see there are no bullets in the gun. This is part of a later scene in the movie where Viktor kills his first two people. As he's shooting, you can again see there are no bullets in the gun. (00:01:20 - 00:23:10)
Other mistake: When Ida is with Prince, in some of the closeups Prince is wearing a custom halter noseband with "Sky High Angels" embossed on the leather. The "Sweethearts of the Rodeo" rodeo stunts featured in the movie were performed by the "Sky High Angels" a real rodeo drill team, and Prince was played by Hank, an equine member of the "Sky High Angels."
Factual error: The pirates' map shows a drawing of Tower Bridge, which Pirate Captain sees through the telescope moments later. Construction of Tower Bridge started in 1886, and it was completed in 1894. Queen Victoria was 73 when Tower Bridge was completed, whereas she is in her late twenties or mid thirties here. The sign setting the film in 1837 also makes no sense given this timeline. (00:25:20)
Continuity mistake: On the train with Anna, Ben says "I'll never forget the first day you showed up in Somalia, ready to set the world on fire." He and Anna are sitting by the same window. As it shows him, outside the window is just open area as they go on the tracks. When it cuts to Anna, they are suddenly passing buy houses. Throughout this sense, the stuff out the window always changes depending if the camera is looking at Ben or Anna. (01:20:55 - 01:22:21)
Visible crew/equipment: As Jack and George enter the boat site they hide behind a red Jaguar XFR. As the camera moves round the camera man is visible in the chrome-work on the Jaguar. (01:35:20)
Continuity mistake: While talking with Flo, Frank muses about how Tony is fixated on Danaka smuggling drugs in her genitals. He has his left hand up in the air holding a cigarette that is lit. It cuts to Tony saying "I'm not fixated" then back to Frank from a further shot. Now his left hand is under his right hand in his lap, no cigarette. A couple shots later, his left hand is up in the air again holding a cigarette. (00:05:35)
Character mistake: In the scene where Debbie is sitting in Dr. Pellegrino's office, she finds out she is pregnant. Dr. Pellegrino's name is spelled Pellagrino on his white medical jacket and Pellegrino on his desk.
Continuity mistake: As the zombies are making their way out of the graveyard towards the Romero home, you can see John among them walking almost a normal speed, and right beside him is a limping, very slow zombie and they are just now making it to the street. It cuts to a view from the windows of the house, and suddenly they are almost across the street, and somehow the slower zombie is further ahead than John. (00:01:45)
Continuity mistake: When Benedick is listening to Don Pedro and Claudio from outside the house, his close ups are in the sun and the wider shots are in shadow.
Factual error: Lee gasses up his car on the Garden State Parkway while driving Imogene to NYC. Never has there ever been self-serve gasoline in the state of New Jersey.
Factual error: When the main character goes into the church, she looks at a picture from 1989 labeled "annual picnic". In the picture a boy (next to the main character's mother) wears a hat with a DC (DC Shoes) logo on it. DC Shoes was established in 1993. (01:00:00)
Factual error: The beginning scene of the film is supposed to be in 1984. An Alf lunch box can be seen being carried by one of the students and Alf wasn't on the air until 1986.
Factual error: The VW Bug that the belfry falls on is a later model than 1965 when the movie is set. The larger tail light with yellow on the lens seen on the VW in the movie didn't come along until 1968. The one in the movie may even be of early 70's vintage.
Continuity mistake: While Timothy is saying goodbye to his girlfriend, the girl's birthmark disappears in the shot.
