Continuity mistake: When Monica gets out of her car after her first day at the bank, she stumbles over her shoes. She takes them off, talks to Q for awhile, and then heads into the house. Watch as she rounds the corner to the house (right when she gets to the hedges, watch carefully because she walks around the hedges fast) you can clearly see that she does in fact have her shoes on, without her putting them back on. She didn't even bend down like she should if she were putting them back on.
Continuity mistake: When Peter is in Carl's mind with Catherine and is getting his intestines wrapped around the spit, the amount of his intestine on the spit keeps decreasing then increasing suddenly. (01:16:25)
Continuity mistake: The computer terminal used by Don Cheadle's character has a grey cable connected but the connector appears damaged - twisted out of alignment. A few seconds later the same cable appears connected normally then, a few seconds after that, it is damaged again. (01:13:00)
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie there is a scene where Joan Allen is walking next to the President. If you look closely at her feet, she is wearing two different colored high heels.
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning, Giovanni Ribisi has a voiceover in which he refers to the #6 (subway) going to Fulton Street. The #6 train does not stop at Fulton, the 4 and 5 do.
Continuity mistake: When Bill tells Selma he has no money, her hair changes from tied back, to down numerous times between cuts.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the carnival, Ryan hands Ashley a drink that he just bought. The drink is full to the top with ice and a lemon. Before Ashley even drinks any of the drink, she walks over to a carnival ride and you can see that her cup is empty.
Continuity mistake: When John Cusack is at a house after the funeral, he is standing in front of a fireplace. You can see the boom microphone dip into the top of the screen above his head.
Continuity mistake: When "B" accidentally pulls the leg off of the dead dog, the position of it in her hands changes between cuts.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie, when Al (Freddie Prinze Jr) meets Imogen (Julia Stiles) She introduces herself as a freshman, and he introduces himself as a sophomore. the movie spans over the rest of the school year until she goes away for the summer. However, at the end of their first summer apart, Al is eating dinner with his dad and they are discussing his upcoming senior year and post-graduation plans. It should only be his junior year.
Continuity mistake: After Madeleine has been whipped and she is putting her clothes back on, she puts her arm into the same sleeve twice.
Continuity mistake: In the trailer, there is a scene showing Matt Damon in a fight. The other person pulls out a knife and cuts Damon on the right side of his face, leaving a big scar. In the next scene of the same commercial the scar changes from the right side of his face to the left side and then back again.
Continuity mistake: When Eric Roberts reaches for the gun on the roof, he's wearing the jacket of his suit again, when he took it off 20 minutes before.
Continuity mistake: When we see the police officer checking the hit counter on an adult web site, the hit counter goes down from 1,739,986 to 1,739,944 a few seconds later.
Continuity mistake: The general shows the policeman photos of an assassin they want. They show pictures of him with facial scars that he actually receives after he has been captured and tortured. (00:28:30 - 00:32:35)
Continuity mistake: When the Master Diver is preparing to go under water to take the final exam, he is shown being fitted with a brass helmet with a window on top. In the next shot as he is descending the ladder into the water, there is no window.
Continuity mistake: Luke McNamara is handcuffed behind his back at the police station but as he is loaded in to the ambulance he mysteriously is cuffed in front. [The handcuffs inside are normal police issue handcuffs and outside as he's getting into the ambulance they're attached to a belt, normally used for criminals they consider dangerous.]
Continuity mistake: When Ray gives his girlfriend the present right at the start, her bag moves up her arm when the shot changes. (00:01:10)
Continuity mistake: In the final scene in the cave, the protagonist walks under the rain and becomes wet. After the whole poisonous needle thing, the camera cuts back to her and she is completely dry. (01:41:15)
Continuity mistake: In the hospital scene, Audrey's mother is sitting down with the bed table to her left. We see her start to rise, but when the shot cuts, she's suddenly standing at the bedside on the other side of the table, with no time transition included for her to get there naturally. (01:57:30)
