Continuity mistake: There is one scene where Re-Eddie and Tuttle are driving in the desert but the clouds aren't moving and are easily fake.
Continuity mistake: When Miss Christina is caressing the Jane Eyre manuscript against her chest the book is open, then stops because she thinks she hears something, but in the wider shot the book is now closed.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie Frankie/Rory's (Brad Pitt) mother is serving the dinner. She gives them all dinner except herself, and then sits down. Then the father says the prayer, and when he does that you can see the whole table, and there is food on the mother's plate.
Continuity mistake: Much of this movie was shot in Luxembourg, not in Paris. This is obvious on several occasions - the road signs are clearly not like the French standard. You even see a sign to »Trier (Trèves)«. In Paris, there would be no signs to this German town...and even if there was, these would say »Trèves«. The buses also have French registration plates but are from Luxembourg companies.
Continuity mistake: In an early scene Jack and Collette sit in a bar. While he is drinking a martini she tells him that he is the father of her son. He is so shocked by the news that he practically finishes the entire drink, leaving only a little bit and the olive in the glass when he sets it down. The camera swings to another angle and the martini is full again and after the camera changes angles a few more times, each showing a full glass, it finally goes back to the original angle where the glass is once again almost empty. Continuity mistake: When the Power Rangers are backing out of Maligore's temple (in a group), between consecutive shots, the position of the gang keeps differing. For example in one shot Pink Ranger moves out of the group, to the side, then in the next shot she is back in the centre of the group. And Green Ranger differs from standing to kneeling as the shots change. (01:21:20)
Continuity mistake: During the sequence where Kowalski is being chased through the mining buildings, there's a shot where the passenger-side mirror gets knocked off the car by a jutting pole, and the camera tracks it to breaking on the ground. But the next shot showing that side of the car shows the mirror. It keeps appearing and vanishing for the rest of the scene (when it's not there, there's no sign of damage to the car: the car used for those shots appears to never have had a wing-mirror).
Continuity mistake: When Mr Potter removes the stuff that the exterminator accidentally sprayed on his face, it's thicker than in the previous shot.
Continuity mistake: When Pacino asks a guy in a barbershop about Depp, the guy is being shaved, and the shaving foam is only on his cheek, but when he's at the doorway calling to Depp to come in the barbershop the foam reaches his temple, then back inside the foam is only at his cheek again.
Continuity mistake: In the scene on the boat, when Dimitri gives Anya the blue dress, the piping along the sleeves and the bottom changes from white, to nothing and back to white.
Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the movie when Alex is waiting for Isabel on the bridge, Isabel sees Alex and hits the breaks. Her foot is shown stepping on the pedal and her polish color is a light color. Later when the two are in the ambulance, her toe nails are painted bright red. (01:38:28)
Continuity mistake: While Matt Damon is questioning the CEO of the insurance company, he removes a large book of insurance information from the CEO's lap, pushing his microphone out. He then gives the CEO a document that virtually wins the case. When he reads it, the shot clearly shows the mic is back where it shuold be. Yeah, maybe he pulled it back. But in the next shot, when Matt asks him to read it again, he comes up to him and pushes the mic back to where it was before. (01:52:55)
Continuity mistake: When the Amistad is captured by the American naval vessel, and Cinque jumps out of the dinghy to swim for it, the frontal shot of his face with the pursuing boat behind him shows the sun overhead, at midday or morning, towards viewers' left. When the shot changes to behind him (chaser's view), the sun is dead in front of him and setting.
Continuity mistake: In the run-away tram scene the camera shows a group of scared passengers. One of them, who is holding a real dog a few shots before is holding a stiff, stuffed dog and is waving it around.
Continuity mistake: When Gregory is preparing his house for the arrival of his friends, (first five minutes of movie) he makes the bed and opens all the windows. When John walks in the room, all the windows are closed.
Continuity mistake: When Robert finds Celine after she has been kidnapped by O'Reilly and Jackson we see several times that O'Reilly has bled from her left nostril and the blood has run down onto her bottom lip. After she gets shot, the blood stops at her top lip. (01:22:30 - 01:23:50)
Continuity mistake: When Ashitaka spots San spitting a mouthful of blood out, the number of large teeth on San's necklace changes from four, to three, to four.
Continuity mistake: When Ernie picks up the cereal pack and walks to the table, the mouse has chewed a hole in the pack, and cereals drops on the floor (the whole pack of cereals). And later in a shot from a different angle, the cereal is gone.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning of the movie Jeff and his wife were moving to San Diego from Massachusetts. Well, they were driving in their new Jeep (with Massachusetts plates) through Arizona. When Amy comments about how fast Jeff is driving, the camera shot shows the speedometer at 80 mph and the odometer shows the Jeep has only 245miles. That must be a new record from MA to AZ..... (Note: not visible on DVD version of film.)
Continuity mistake: When Ed is skating through the park and the baby gets mixed up with the players, they throw the baby through the hoop. If you watch, the man who threw the baby through the hoop doesn't have sleeves, but when it shows the baby being caught, the catcher has sleeves. Then it goes back to the person who supposedly caught him, but he has no sleeves again.
