Continuity mistake: After Jack's second horse never comes back, neither do Ben's shoes. Were they with the horse that we don't know what happened to?
Suggested correction: The shoes are purposely removed and never seen again, as is the horse, by Jack. This is mentioned by the Indian tracking them.
Continuity mistake: In one scene Geena Davis is repairing Michael Keaton's car. She has dirty hands. Then her boss drives by. She talks to him with a clean face and the next shot, she has oil or something on her face.
Continuity mistake: When Charles finally walks through the vestry door to 'face the enemy' his hair changes from rather messy to nicely combed, then to messy again when he walks through the church. (01:40:55)
Audio problem: When the kids are riding back from Miss Cavore's house on their bikes, their is some dialogue between them. In one of the shots we can see them talking, but in the next shot we hear them talking but their lips aren't moving.
Factual error: Near the end of the film, after Ditch and Krista use the reserve parachute, they fall in a windfarm. The windmills are spinning fairly slowly. After the fight Ditch pulls Pinkwater's parachute out. The wind pulls Pinkwater back towards the fan. Before he gets chopped up there is a shot of the fan blades spinning very fast and powerfully. A light breeze would not cause these blades to spin in this fashion. A hurricane would be needed for those blades to chop up a human.
Plot hole: The whole plot of this movie stems from a scientist selling his time machine to a corporation for further funding for development. He has a TIME MACHINE. Lotteries, stock market, 100 years of interest on a savings account. Why does he need more funding?
Continuity mistake: When Terry and Mike are at the Captain's table on the ship the magazine photographer is seen outside on the deck leaning against a pole waiting to take a pic of Mike with a girl. The camera angle changes to Mike's view of the window looking out and the photographer is now seen looking into the window with his camera trying to avoid Mike seeing him.
Continuity mistake: When Gary Busey is breaking out of prison, there is a part where he runs into a fence and acts disappointed since he cannot get through it. However, if you watch carefully while he is running, in a split second when the fence first comes into view, you'll notice it has doors which are swung open.
Factual error: Under the rules of Major League Baseball, a team owner cannot also serve as the team's manager; it constitutes a conflict of interest.
Deliberate mistake: When the recon team head out of the base they encounter a robot. But it is a probe droid, distinguishable by the lack of a cannon on its right arm. The only probe droid that the lab sent out self-destructed back in the 1970s, the rest were all sterilisation units. (00:39:05)
Continuity mistake: When Pepper and Sonny arrive at the warehouse on the water for the shootout, Pepper asks Sonny if he wants to lock the truck. When they come back to the truck with Shaw, they immediately open the doors even though they locked the doors earlier. (00:01:25 - 00:13:30)
Continuity mistake: In the Baskin-Robbins scene, Tim's ice cream dish goes from full to empty to full again. His spoon changes positions as well.
Visible crew/equipment: When Honora brings Pauline a tray of breakfast into her room, Honora gives her the tray then talks to her for a while. You can clearly see the face of a crewmember reflected in a window, and then after, you see the reflection of two hands holding the long pole of the boom mic! (00:37:40)
Continuity mistake: When Connor is escaping from the psychiatric ward you can clearly see the cameras running tracks on the floor.
Continuity mistake: When Tom tells Gail he won't take part in the rafting trip and she sits down on the bed, her hair changes several times between tucked behind the ears and hanging straight in alternating shots. (00:04:35)
Continuity mistake: When Lloyd's mother is tied to the chair, the red ribbon changes between shots. When viewed from the front, there are three wraps closely spaced near her shoulders. When seen in the close-up from behind, only one wrap is visible but there is a big space below it where the next wrap should have been.
Continuity mistake: Marcello Mastroianni is waiting for Sophia Loren sitting under Rodin's "Thinker". When she arrives you can tell from the statue's shadow that this shot was taken hours later. (01:39:25)
Audio problem: When the man with the peg leg is trying to resist getting a shot of anti-smallpox serum from Professor Waldman, he yells, "You're not sticking that in me. You're not sticking that in me." But if you look closely, you can see that his lips are not moving. (00:32:45)
Plot hole: How does Clifford, a ten-year-old boy, manage to steal a stereo, a surfboard and a dog from the airport without being caught?
Continuity mistake: During the final basketball game, when Shep makes a finger roll for a layup, his jersey and 15 are backwards.
