Continuity mistake: In the scene where Ellie Mae is swimming with her animals, and the tutor comes in to meet with her, a shot shows Ellie Mae with wet hair, and in the next shot, her hair is dry.
Continuity mistake: When Smalls tries to throw the ball for the first time, everyone laughs at him and falls down. When it shows the guys from Smalls' view, it shows Yeah-Yeah falling down. Then when Smalls is running away, it shows Yeah-Yeah falling again.
Continuity mistake: Crawl is thrown into the manure pile and his hat falls off. Then Theo throws the pitchfork at him and the top tine makes a hole in his hat. Watch the shot closely: the tine on the fork at the top of the screen definitely makes a hole. Later in the day, there in no sign of the hole. Even in the next scene when Crawl is feeding the pigs, the hole is not there. And I can tell you from experience that a pitchfork tine leaves a hole big enough to notice.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Beldar has finished giving Gladys a driving lesson and they are sitting in the car, you can see that he has nothing on his lips. After Gladys kisses Beldar, you can see red lipstick. As the shots go from Beldar to Gladys and back, you can see the lipstick disappear and re-appear.
Continuity mistake: In the big game the Cubs' manager says to Chet, "You gave me six great innings." But somehow, Henry pitches four innings when there are no extra innings in the game. How unusual.
Continuity mistake: When Jack rips the door off the cab, he first breaks the top hinge and enters the cab. In the next shot when he pulls the cabbie out of the car, the door is completely off and laying on the ground. A few shots later when Jack grabs the newspaper, the door is seen hanging again. Continuity mistake: When Phil has the groundhog in the truck at the quarry and is about to drive over the edge, Rita's hair is disheveled and sticking out all around her head. But after Phil has driven off the cliff and she's looking down, it's all pinned neatly in place.
Continuity mistake: When the girls are hazing the freshman and they're talking to Don, the first take his legs are up and crossed, then the next take they're down and crossed, then up, then down, and this goes on the entire scene.
Continuity mistake: Bernie gets shot underwater with the spear and can't let go of the chest. But when they take the vest off Larry to float Bernie up to the surface, Bernie takes his hand off of the handle to get the vest on.
Continuity mistake: The bearded man sitting next to Jonah, on the flight to New York, is also seen sitting two seats away from Sam when he flies to New York chasing Jonah. The same guy is on two different planes at the same time.
Continuity mistake: In the scene, towards the end of the movie, Billy Baldwin is running down the street chasing the cab that the girl he wants is in. His shirt changes from having a pocket to not having a pocket. The colour also changes from yellowish to more brownish.
Continuity mistake: This movie has many flashbacks to the late 1970s or early '80s, but in one scene the little boy is in his pajamas and it depicts symbols of NHL teams. Half, if not most of those teams were not around at that time.
Continuity mistake: In the beginning when Topper is about to fight, he puts a red bandana around his head. As he is walking to the fight, one of the flaps of the bandana is draped over his shoulder. The shot changes when he gets to the fight, and both flaps are now behind his shoulders.
Continuity mistake: When the bus is coming to pick up Alfre Woodard as she is finally meeting her son, we see Robert Downey, Jr. briefly touch her on the shoulder. Since she's a soul, this is impossible.
Continuity mistake: When Orchid is putting needles in the back of Master Wong to the poison, the blood flows before she puts the second needle and the color of the blood is not always the same. And after that, when Dr Yang check his back, the needles have disappeared and they are in the box again.
Continuity mistake: In the prosecuting attorney's speech in the first courtroom scene, the judge's house of cards is no more than 2 levels high (a base level with a peak) [0:2:20]. In the close-up shot of the judge, the house of cards changes to 3 levels high (2 base levels and a peak)[0:2:35]. When the scene focuses back on the prosecuting attorney, the house is back to two levels of height[0:2:39]. (00:02:20)

Continuity mistake: Near the start of the film where Emilio is making himself a very large drink, the bottles of alcohol move about on the bar between shots and camera angles.
Continuity mistake: At one part in the movie Christopher Lambert points a revolver at a gun dealer. When they cut back he is pointing a semi-automatic pistol. This is done three times.
