Continuity mistake: The tiger bites the seat off the suitor's trousers, allowing the viewer to see his polka-heart boxers. When we see the tiger in the courtyard, he has a part of the same boxer shorts in his mouth. So if he bit off the seat of the trousers, shouldn't he have purple cloth in his mouth? (00:11:45)
Continuity mistake: When Kevin is running away from Harry and Marv he buys strings of pearl necklaces, and pulls them apart on an icy corner. When the bandits slip on them, there are more pearls there than Kevin dropped.
Continuity mistake: When they bring Marvin Nash to be tortured, his hands are cuffed behind his back. They start kicking him and his hands are then seen cuffed in front. Then, they switch back just a few moments later and his hands are back behind his back again.
Visible crew/equipment: As the motorbike falls from the highway, just after it explodes there's a very short wide shot of the site with Danny Glover standing by his car and a couple of guys in hard hats standing around (or running for their life). If you look right behind Danny Glover you can see two people, one in a white hat, one in a red, and one of them is holding a camera - they start moving backwards just before the end of the shot. We then see the bike blowing up, then a close up shot of Danny Glover, from the camera we've just seen. (01:30:25)Jon Sandys
Continuity mistake: When Madeline is given the card with address of Lisle Von Rhoman on it, she tears it down the middle into two, and the two pieces she tears are torn neatly and straight down the middle. Yet later, when Madeline takes the two pieces of the card from her bag, they are torn much differently, and aren't torn straight and neatly. (00:19:45 - 00:28:20)Hamster
Continuity mistake: During Danny's drunken yelling scene he swoops a table ALMOST clear of its papers, meaning there are still a few papers messily left on the table. However, a few shots later, those papers are mysteriously missing. (01:47:20)
Continuity mistake: The baby's burping pad disappears and reappears from Claire's shoulder after Peyton pretends to save the baby from choking on the earring. (00:25:50)
Continuity mistake: At the beginning, there is a scene where Ben spills a carton of milk. He picks it up right away, but a split second later the scene changes, the milk is still lying down, and he puts it upright again. (00:06:25)
Revealing mistake: In the chase scene about an hour into the movie, Robert Loggia is shown entering the Liberty Tunnel, driving on a wet road. Note the vaulted round ceiling of the tunnel. Next, we see a series of shots of him in the tunnel, and then a shot of the sun rising over Pittsburgh as he is about to leave the tunnel. Here is the problem - the sunrise shot is taken from the Fort Pitt tunnel on a different day. Note the dry road, the barriers to the driver's left at the tunnel exit and the Fort Pitt bridge straight ahead. There is no place for the driver to make a left turn out of this tunnel. Also note that the POV is from the left lane. All the Liberty Tunnel shots show Loggia in the right lane. The next shot shows Loggia exiting the Liberty Tunnel and making a left turn from the right lane, causing a pile-up. (01:11:10 - 01:12:20)Kevin Hall
Continuity mistake: When Robert Redford tips the scrabble letters onto the glass table, he makes "SETE" and "CAST" next to it. To the right of "CAST", under his right hand, are the letters RNY, quite widely spaced. All other letters are tightly gathered above. When the angle changes to under the table, suddenly all the letters are spread fairly evenly around the table. (00:39:15)Jon Sandys
Visible crew/equipment: Early in the the film, after the attack in a shot with police tape in view, you can see a camera on a dolly along with the focus puller in the left side of the shot (wide screen version). (00:11:55)
