The Grifters picture

Corrected entry: When Lily hides out in the motel room, we see her place a silencer on her gun, but when she uses the gun on Mia, we still hear the blast.

Correction: In fact this is entirely realistic - 'silencers' are largely mythical and do not produce the fain 'sput.' of film legend. They will supress the noise of the gun leaving the barrel but not the explosive gases escaping from the breech, and a significant gunshot is still produced.

Kindergarten Cop picture

Corrected entry: Phoebe and Kimble are supposed to be married as their undercover identity but on Kimble's first day of school, a student asks him if he's married and he says no.

Correction: Only the principal (and maybe other staff) are to assume they're married. The fact a kid is told he's not hardly would make a difference. It's not like the kid would tell anyone from the school.

The correction makes no sense. What's the point of going undercover as a married couple if the one person who already knew he was an undercover cop was the only one who was suppose to think he was married? Plus, one kid literally shouts from the classroom he's not married, for a lot of people to hear. Several moms know he's not married from their kids telling them, and Joyce (a staff member) is told Phoebe is his sister. No way the principal doesn't know he's not married.

Correction: And yet I can hear "bloopers" from newscasts aired on certain radio programs on satellite radio which repeatedly demonstrate unbleeped expletives being said on regular radio and TV. As long as the station immediately, or after a commercial break, offers an apology, most of the time they are not penalized. I've even heard expletives on live shows like Good Morning America, which they then have to apologize for.

Child's Play 2 picture

Corrected entry: When Chucky bashes Tommy's head in with the statue, he crushes the skull. But at the beginning, Chucky's skull is made of metal, which means all the doll's skulls are metal. He couldn't do that damage to a metal skull.

Correction: Chucky, being a much older version of the Good Guy doll has a metal skull while a newer model (Tommy) may have a plastic skull. Besides we see Tommy's rubber face cut up and torn but we do not actually see his skull break it is only caved in. If the skull is made of aluminium or even tin the heavy figurine could easily stove it in.

The Witches picture

Corrected entry: As Miss Irvine sits alone in her room, drinking tea and eating cake, she says "Didn't want to be one of them anyway," but her mouth doesn't move at all.

Correction: She isn't saying it out loud; she's saying it in her head to herself.

Correction: This is really not trivia. They were the only ones to survive in the 1st movie.

Night of the Living Dead picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where Ben gets the lever action rifle from the corpse, he cocks the lever expelling a used round and supposedly loading one more in the chamber. However when he runs down after hearing the screams he cocks the rifle again and no round is released. Meaning the gun is empty but in later scenes it fires without anyone reloading it.

Correction: No one can be sure who might have handled that rifle during the scenes in between, so maybe someone re-loaded it during that time.

House Party picture

Corrected entry: In the scene where the two cops tell the two thieves running in the alley to stop, the TV falls off their cart onto the squad car. The TV lands on the windshield in one spot, but the entire windshield is completely shattered in several different areas.

Correction: That's what windshields do, because the safety glass is designed to shatter into small pieces. I had an owl hit the passenger side of my windshield, the shattering and cracks extended all the way across the windshield, yet there were a couple of spots that were still clear, probably because the stress cracks did not reach that far, or that section.

Awakenings picture

Corrected entry: In the time lapse where Robin Williams and the nurse are colouring a checkered design on the floor, the solid black line of tiles where the checkers originally ended disappears and stays gone for the rest of the movie.

Correction: Actually, you can see that in every other tile in the solid black line, Williams and the Nurse have colored a tile white to continue the checkerboard pattern, thereby eliminating the black line. Otherwise it wouldn't have been a solid checkerboard pattern.

Joe Versus the Volcano picture

Corrected entry: In the typhoon, Patricia is knocked off the Tweedle Dee and submerged in the ocean. Joe rescues her from drowning and they spend several days on the raft, during which Patricia is unconscious or asleep. When next we see her, she is rousing Joe from his delirium. How could her hair now be so perfect?

Correction: While floating on the "trunk raft" Joe is shown shaving among many other things. It would stand to reason that he brushed or combed Patricia's hair in his boredom.

Cry-Baby picture

Corrected entry: When Allison and Cry-Baby first arive at turkey point on his motorcycle, Hatchet-Face, Wanda and Pepper all walk up. If you watch Hatchet-Face's scarf it switches in nearly every shot from in front of Hatchet-Face to behind, then front and back again.

Correction: Both times the scarf stays in the same place. It doesn't move except for when she's walking, then it goes up and down with her shoulders.

Buried Alive picture

Corrected entry: The woman and doctor could have easily escaped from the basement if they used the poisoned syringe on the dog guarding the window.

Correction: That is not a film mistake. It is your opinion of how the film should have played, a rewriting of the screenplay. It was not impossible for the people in the scene to have behaved the way they did, meaning this is not a film mistake.

Nuns on the Run picture

Corrected entry: Sister Superior assigns Charlie to teach basketball and Brian to teach the Trinity. Although this "role reversal" makes for good laughs, none of the students knows the difference between Charlie and Brian, so the two could have easily switched jobs and not risked blowing their cover.

haron

Correction: So what you are suggesting is that Brian and Charlie do a shifty swap, and Charlie, the Catholic, teaches Trinity while Brian teaches basketball. So, what happens if Sister Superior - the headmistress, remember - walks in on one of their classes? The girls may not know the two 'nuns' apart, but she does.

Heart Condition picture

Corrected entry: Stone is a ghost and tells Moony that the only person he can touch is Moony and no one else can see him, but yet he casts a shadow. It's most noticeable in the scene when Stone goes into Moony's apartment.

Correction: If there's a ghost no one else can see, why can't he have a shadow no one else can see?

Crazy People picture

Corrected entry: When Emory decides to take the stairs down in his office building Stephen comments that it is 120-odd flights down. The movie takes place in New York, at the time the tallest buildings there were the World Trade Center towers which were only 110 stories.

Tobin OReilly

Correction: Flights of stairs doesn't always coincide with the number of floors. If the stairs curve around twice per floor the building has 120 flights and landings and 60 floors.

Look Who's Talking Too picture

Corrected entry: When Kirstie introduces her friend to her brother Stuart, her friend says "I never knew you had a brother!" and then about a minute or so later she says to Stuart, "I've heard so much about you!"

Correction: This is meant to be funny, with Rona saying that she didn't know that Molly had a brother and then saying "Molly's told me so much about you" because she secretly fancies him-it is meant to be humourous

The Bonfire of the Vanities picture

Corrected entry: Fox is puffing away on his cigar in the injured boy's hospital room. Smoking is not permitted in a hospital, particularly since the boy is on oxygen.

Correction: It is illegal to smoke in a hospital, not impossible. He is breaking the rules, perhaps deliberately. Not a film mistake.

Arachnophobia picture

Corrected entry: The spider specialist should have known that when he vibrated the web he would be attacked by the giant spider, but still he did it. (01:04:02)

Correction: The spider specialist wanted to get the giant spider out in the open so he could take a look at it. He expected it to come out and walk along the web so he could study it, not leap out and kill him like it did. The spider attacking him was an accident.

Troll 2 picture

Corrected entry: When Arnold is watching the girl being eaten by the goblins, there is nothing on his forehead when he is saying that they are eating her and then they are going to eat him. When he says "Oh my God", a fly has suddenly appeared on his forehead.

Harris

Correction: Flies move fast and the camera was off him for plenty of time (almost 3 seconds) for the fly to have landed on his forehead.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch picture

Corrected entry: Before turning into gremlins, the mogwai are all different colours - how come? In the original film they were all the same colour as Gizmo.

Andy Benham Premium member

Correction: These are different gremlims to the gremlins in the first film. The gremlins in the first film are all killed off before the movie ends. Gizmo then creates a new set of gremlins and like most animals will never produce 2 the exact same.
