Continuity mistake: When Randy Quaid is trying to make the shot on the giant windmill, he swings and hits the ball. You can see the ball flies almost vertical and way to the right of the windmill. However the next shot shows it landing right on target.
Continuity mistake: When Bernie tries to hang himself in his bedroom by jumping off some suitcases he ties the rope around his neck. In the close-up he puts the rope behind his right ear and in front of his left ear. In the long shot however the rope is behind his left ear. In the close-up it's in front of his left ear again.
Continuity mistake: When Brad gets to his grandma's house he is standing outside her window. He holds his bag in his left hand and switches it to his right. When it cuts, he switches again. (00:10:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Christopher Walken is to do pushups in the rain, the military ribbons over his left breast pocket appear and disappear depending on the shot.
Continuity mistake: When Darcy throws her bridal bouquet, the direction is to the left of the church, yet in the next shot, a girl at the top of the church steps is waving it in the air.
Continuity mistake: When Steven is doing his "Singing in the Rain" routine, his scarf is about to fall off his neck, but in the next shot it's knotted around his neck. The quick shot of Lila in-between does not prove to be enough time for him to re-tie it.
Continuity mistake: Better Midler's "country" character spills syrup on her white jacket and tries to rub it away. The size and shape of the stain change as she leaves the restaurant and is seen in the hotel lobby.
Continuity mistake: When Pee-Wee and Winnie are having the picnic under the tree, he wipes a big gob of something from his face onto her dress. In the next shot, there is absolutely nothing on her dress.
Continuity mistake: When Chevy Chase gets out of the water after he jumps into the lake from the fishing boat, he walks directly to his car completely soaking wet and sits in it. Less than 15 seconds later, his wife, who was chatting with the Sheriff walks back to the car and he is almost completely dry, except for his hair.
Continuity mistake: In life number 3, Uncle Todd wipes the blue paint ring from Garfield's face and then places him upon a pink dotted mushroom near two paint cans. But between shots, both paint cans disappear. (00:13:50)
Continuity mistake: In the vampire sequence, there is a long shot at the dining table where the Count makes introductions. The Count is standing and China begins to sit down with a butler helping to push in her chair. Then we get get a medium shot of the Count rising from his chair. Back to the long shot where China sits down again, this time without help from the butler.
Continuity mistake: In the scene in the Jaguar when they get the BBC bulletin that the farm has been found, there is a Hillman Super Minx immediately behind them. Next shot it is missing but returns later.
Continuity mistake: When the first two baddies are captured they are tied up back to back in the cave. Next time they are seen, they are side by side.
Suggested correction: Too much time has passed in the film for this to be a mistake. They are first shown tied up back to back in the afternoon when Sue watches them alone. When Mick returns, he invites Sue along for his "phone call." The next two scenes, which are at night time, are of Sue collecting berries and of the bats attacking the bad guys camp. Following this, Mick and Sue are shown around a camp fire and the two are tied up side to side.
Continuity mistake: When Munchausen is about to be executed for the second time, right after the Sultain sais: "Executioner, execute!" we see the executioner raising the axe. The axe is facing the wrong way. In the next shot it's the right way. (01:39:45)
Continuity mistake: Wanda wears glasses at first, even acting like the type of person who'd be half blind without them. Yet once she loses them she sees perfectly.
Continuity mistake: The fruit attached to Lulu's costume during her dance number in the club comes and goes in between shots of her and the audience.
Continuity mistake: When the condo manager shows up at Billy's house to take Purple, and chases him round the garage, some stuff, including a white plastic basket, falls off a shelf twice; first in the wide shot, then again in a closeup of Purple's feet.
Continuity mistake: Graham is on the bed as it comes crashing down the stairs. He proceeds to disappear, reappear, disappear in the group shot and then finally reappears once again. (00:26:35)
