Continuity mistake: When Austin is about to be sent back in time in the Bug, he reverses into some shelves with computers on them, knocking them over. He then pulls forwards. When he reverses again, the computers are back up, and he hits some barrels. When he pulls forwards again, the barrels are back up, but the computers have now disappeared again. (00:23:50)
Continuity mistake: The train that transports The Haynes Sisters and Wallace and Davis from Florida to Vermont is shown as being of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway in one sequence, and of the Southern Pacific Railroad in another. Neither railway ran on the east coast of the U.S.
Continuity mistake: There is a scene where the Chipmunks and Chipettes are singing the song "Girls of Rock and Roll." In that scene, it shows the boys walking up the stairs together and from left to right the order is: Simon, Alvin & Theodore. The shot goes to the girls then back to the guys. The order of the guys has switched: (left to right) Theodore, Alvin & Simon.
Continuity mistake: During Marty's drive to the bogus address, when he is done speaking with Monty, just as he says, "Wolf out!" he pulls the phone wire and the earpiece actually pops out of his ear, but in all of the following shots that earpiece is still in his ear. Since the super-glued earpiece is one of the main plot points, this is bizarre to say the least. (00:44:25)
Continuity mistake: During the Xmas day scene, Markus receives a Sony portable CD player as a gift from Will. However, before the gift's unwrapped, the Sony box is visible on the table. (00:51:45)
Continuity mistake: When Uma Thurman visits the radio station for the first time, she asks Janeane Garofalo if she can sit down by the microphone. As she's standing in front of the desk she's wearing a cardigan with a handbag over her shoulder. When she turns round to say "you promise not to laugh?", the cardigan and bag have disappeared. Continuity mistake: When Terri is at the party, her blonde wig changes shape and size many times.
Continuity mistake: After Dory reads the wall map while she's in the glass carafe, when Hank hides behind the rolling cabinet there's a long shot of the corridor with him at the far wall, then in the next shot from behind Hank a drinking fountain has suddenly appeared on the wall to the left, between two pictures.
Continuity mistake: When the real 'manager' comes outside to yell at "Mr. O'Donnell', you see the manager walk back into the club. If you look in the background of the next shot, you can see the manager walking through the door again. (00:13:25)
Continuity mistake: Agatha's nightgown strap switches between hanging down on her arm, or being up on her shoulder, normally.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Page (Jennifer Love Hewitt) follows Jack onto the beach, and she falls over into the mud while clambering through the bushes, Jack finds her on the floor in the mud and helps her up. When she stands in front of him, she's clean, with no mud in sight.
Continuity mistake: When Danny & Debbie are having their New Year's dinner at home, the champagne foam instantly disappears in the very next camera angle after pouring it.
Continuity mistake: When Joaquin enter the bull fighting ring before Manolo's bull fight, Joaquin removes his cape and drops it on the ground. When Joaquin's horse gallops by and Joaquin grabs onto his steed, the cape is missing. (01:35:00)
Continuity mistake: When Kat and Patrick are playing paintball right before they kiss you can see that they are barely covered in paint. When they do kiss and are on the ground, they are totally covered with it. (01:06:35)
Continuity mistake: When "Emperor" Moe appears in front of Marge, after she and the kids return, the two cartridge belts swung over Moe's shoulders switch from his left over the right, to his right over the left. (01:04:50)
Continuity mistake: When they have rolled all the weed together, Dante lit the bong with both of his hands on the bong, but in the next shot he is just sitting back on the couch.
Continuity mistake: When Toad General calls for the council's attention and announces that Bowser found the Super Star, note his shirt buttons. Then, when he says that the Kongs will never agree because their mad king doesn't make alliances, Toad General's shirt is backwards, his buttons are on the opposite side. (00:24:55 - 00:25:35)
Continuity mistake: During the jail breakout, when Jake tries to open the ORV's door, in the shot facing Francis he is holding the gun in his left hand as he tries to open the door for his brother with his right hand. In the next shot facing Jake just before shouts, "I don't have the handle, open the lock!" Francis's gloved left hand is empty, and next shot, the gun can be seen in his right hand. (00:01:45)
Continuity mistake: Where Swazye and Moore are at the pottery wheel, seconds after their hands and arms had been smeared with clay, they're clean.
Suggested correction: The director explained this in the commentary. The scene where they are clean isn't meant to be immediately after the clay pot scene. It was just the same evening.
Continuity mistake: When Adam Banks is playing in one of the games, he scores a goal and his teammates on the bench stand up and cheer when he scores. Problem is, Adam Banks is on the bench too.
