Continuity mistake: When McClane is fighting Col Stuart there is an up close shot where McClane kicks the Colonel and the Colonel grabs his leg. When the camera cuts away he is holding McClane's arm instead of his leg. (01:48:40)
Continuity mistake: In the wide-angle shots of the blue Willys (Jeep) wagon, the windshield is a 2-piece version with a vertical divider in the middle. The close-up shots don't have the divider.
Continuity mistake: At the Gator Motel, after Cledus and Bandit get part of the money, when Bandit starts crying about Frog and blows his nose into the money, there is a side shot showing a wad of bills in Bandit's shirt pocket before he actually puts the bills into his pocket in a following shot. Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Mary visits Hancock for the first time at his house, she arrives from the air and crashes down on the ground, after a discussion inside they both walk outside together and Mary is shown getting into a car. In the next shot shown from above the house the car has disappeared and they both fly into the air.
Suggested correction: No, we see her drive up in the car, not fly in. But you are right that when we see them take off the car is missing.
You must have seen a different version of the movie I saw her land there, it's on Netflix.
You're right. I just saw the version on Netflix and she flies in, while the version from disc I have shows her drive up with a minute of dialog between them next to the car that is not in the Netflix version. I find it very surprising that there are two versions with that major of a difference.
An extended cut was released on DVD and Blu-Ray which has a couple extra scenes as well as modified scenes (including Mary driving to Hancock's). Netflix would have shown the theatrical cut version. (Or if I had to venture a guess, the UK release version as Netflix has a tendency to use those versions for some reason).
Continuity mistake: Either the first shot has a gratuitous view of the fort or the composite people neglected to add the fort in the second shot. Norrington says, "...this is the day that Capt. Jack Sparrow almost escaped. Take him away." The night shot that follows, shows the bridge archway, and beyond it the pier, Interceptor, the fort and its parapet. After Will breaks Jack out of prison, they approach the same archway and beyond it is the pier and Interceptor, but in this shot we don't see the fort and its parapet, nor the line that Jack slid down the day before. Continuity mistake: When the water wheel begins to roll, with Norrington and Will atop and then snatches up Jack, its blades (buckets on the outside rim) and two sides of the axle face a specific direction as it gains speed. Now compare the following two shots, as the water wheel rolls away from the camera: When the wheel rolls, just as Jack falls out, after hitting his head on the bar. Then later on the beach, as Elizabeth watches, just as the wheel rolls and falls over in the close-up, the wheel is actually rolling in the opposite direction - just note its blades. Continuity mistake: On the small sand spit, when Jack, Elizabeth and Barbossa meet with Will, Beckett, and Davy Jones, the leather cuff Jack wears on his right hand actually disappears and reappears twice during the meeting.
Continuity mistake: When Chris Farley is pretending to be a Chinese cook at that one restaurant, cooking, the brown spot on the stove keeps on changing size.
Continuity mistake: In a scene towards the end of the movie, where Bond and Vesper are lying on the beach, Bond has sand on his back throughout most of the scene. When they start to kiss, in the distant shot towards the end of the scene, he has no sand on his back at all. (01:57:10)
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the bar with Gideon when the black guy pours Gideon a drink it is only about 1/3 full. When Gideon drinks it in the next shot it is almost full.
Continuity mistake: In the scene just before the final attack on the castle, D'Artangan is surrounded by his fellow Musketeers. He gets off his horse and while doing so there is a tight close up where you see clearly that he is wearing his Musketeer outfit that he threw down on the floor in the previous scene. When he finishes talking to the horse (and he is back in his normal clothes) Porthos hands him the Musketeer uniform, which D'Artangan then puts on. (01:20:45)
Continuity mistake: When Sonic and Tails are fighting metal Robotnik, he shoots glue at Tail's tail. Tails says he can't fly to help Sonic, but when he gets the piece of concrete to surf across the water on you can see that his tails are not glued together.
Continuity mistake: In the second half of the film, Frodo has a scar on his lower right cheek, close to his chin. Many times throughout the rest of the film the scar changes position and size on his right cheek. It also appears on his left cheek in flipped shots (most obviously on the slopes of Mount Doom when Sam is cradling his head). (02:31:05 - 02:34:00)
Continuity mistake: Nick Cage is chasing Mason in the yellow Ferrari. The windshield breaks at least twice, but is perfect in the next shot. (00:45:55)
Continuity mistake: When Anna and Kristoff fall off the cliff after being chased, they are still tied by the rope. When they land the rope is gone.
Continuity mistake: Near the end of the movie, Lara Croft and Manfred Powell (Iain Glen) both draw their pistols and have them pointed at each others head. Powell suggest that the two put the guns down and settle it hand to hand. The two lay their guns down and fight. As the fight is progressing the cave is falling in around them. Laura knocks Powell out and begins to run for the exit and she does not slow down. As she makes it to the exit you can see her pistols in their holsters on her legs. This is edited from a longer sequence, as seen on DVD, but still a mistake in the theatrical release.
