The Legend of Zelda

The White Knight - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: One of the Tin Suits has Link by the leg and pulls out a horn to summon the Octorok. As they do, the shot from behind shows both of them with a shadow. Then once the Octorok comes and Link yells for Zelda to zap it, both Link's and the Tin Suit's shadows have disappeared. (00:31:45)

Continuity mistake: The window on the second floor of the house where the wheelbarrow is, is shown several times to have a shutter on each side of it. The shot where Zelda is by the house and the Tin Suit has Link by the leg shows that same window with suddenly just one shutter on the right side. (00:32:00)

Continuity mistake: Earlier shots show that the house where the wheelbarrow is has another house beside it on the right side, a little distance away from it. After the Octorok has shown up, there is a shot of Zelda by the wheelbarrow house. The camera pans to the right over to the Octorok. During the pan shot, that second house has vanished. (00:32:00)

Continuity mistake: The house the wheelbarrow is by has two windows on the side it is on when it is first shown. One on the first floor and one on the second floor. But in many of the later shots, the house is shown to have two windows on the first floor. It is most obvious in the shot after the Octorok shows up and you see Zelda standing by the house from a distance. (00:32:00)

Continuity mistake: After chucking Link through the barn, the Octorok and the Tin Suit both go for the ruby. One shot shows the cave behind them. Then there is a close up of the Tin Suit's hand and the Octorok's tentacle grabbing at it. It then cuts to them looking at each other and they get in a tug-o-war over the ruby. Now the cave has vanished and there are suddenly houses behind them. (00:32:20)

Continuity mistake: The Octorok arrives and throws Link through a barn, busting a hole in the wood. The hole is near the back edge of the barn. Moments later when Link comes back holding a board, the hole is now in the center of the barn, and much bigger. A few shots later and the hole is totally different again. (00:32:25)

Continuity mistake: The Octorok throws Link through a barn, who lands in a puddle that a pig is drinking from. He is muddy at that point. When he shows back up holding a board, he is wet. The Octorok fires a blast at him and Link bats it away with the board. As he does, he is suddenly dry. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: When the Octorok and the Tin Suit are having a tug-o-war match over the ruby, the Octorok is using its front left tentacle on the ruby. But when Link bats the Octorok's blast back and hits the Tin Suit, the Octorok raises the ruby up in its front right tentacle. (00:32:35)

Continuity mistake: While dragging Link behind it, the Octorok comes across Prince Facade. The first two shots showing the Prince on his horse, the horse is facing to the right. But then the Octorok fires a blast at Prince Facade and suddenly the horse is facing left as he deflects the blast with his shield. (00:33:20)

Continuity mistake: Link lassos the Octorok with a rope. The Octorok then drags Link out of the village and they meet up with Prince Facade. The Octorok still has the rope on it as it fires a blast at Facade. Then it picks up Link and suddenly the rope has vanished. It is nowhere to be seen after the Octorok is zapped also. (00:33:35)

Continuity mistake: As Zelda is being two faced with Link when she is awestruck by Prince Facade, she tries to introduce Link and has him stand up. Her right arm is bent as she gestures to Link to stand, but her left arm is down by her side straight. The next shot, her left arm is suddenly bent, with her fist balled. (00:34:00)

Continuity mistake: After Prince Facade rescues Link from the Octorok and then Zelda humiliates Link, Link reaches his hand out to shake with Prince Facade. The Prince refuses the hand shake because Link's hands are dirty. The close up of Link's hand shows it covered in dirt. But the distance shot of it before and after he reaches out show no dirt on it. Continuity mistake: After Prince Facade saves Link from the Octorok, Link tries to shake his hand. As he does, he is literally just an arm's length away from the Prince. A few shots later, without any of them moving, it shows the three of them, Link, Zelda, and Facade, all together standing. The distance between Prince Facade and Link has now doubled. (00:34:15)

Continuity mistake: Link asks "what about me?" when Prince Facade offers a ride on his horse to Zelda. When he does, Link is visibly dirty, having dirt patches on his face, hands, and clothes, as well as some tattered clothing. The shot cuts to Zelda and Facade with Zelda saying he'll be fine, and then back to Link. Now Link is in perfect condition, no dirt or tattering. Link attempts to pick up the ruby which Facade beats him to, and Link stands up. Now he is dirty and tattered again. (00:34:30)

Continuity mistake: There is a shot from a distance when Link, Facade, and Zelda are talking when they first meet the Prince. There is nothing on the ground next to them at all. Then suddenly when Link sees the Ruby and Prince Facade snatches it before Link can, it was sitting on the ground right where they were standing. (00:34:35)

Continuity mistake: When Ganon discovers the return of Prince Facade, he is talking to his Evil Jar with his back turned. When he turns around, his skin is a yellowish green color, not his usual brown tan color. His robes are all their normal colors so it is not a lighting effect. He also retains this strange coloring once he teleports to his throne. He was his normal color on his throne in previous episodes. (00:35:25)

The White Knight - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: You see Ganon sitting on his throne two different times during this episode. His throne looks very different each time, most notably the two column things on the sides and the skulls on the bottom. (00:35:40 - 00:39:35)

Continuity mistake: After discovering that Prince Facade is in Hyrule, Ganon laughs and teleports to his throne. There is a distance shot, and a closer shot of him sitting in the throne. The amount of space he takes up in the throne lessens between shots. (00:35:40)

Continuity mistake: Right in the beginning of the title sequence, Zelda and Link walk into a room and see the Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda even says it is the Triforce of Wisdom. It is green. But throughout the entire show in the episodes, the Triforce of Wisdom is shown as blue. (00:00:05)

The Ringer - S1-E1

Question: Once Zelda and Link confront Ganon on the road, he summons more skeletons up and they surround Link and Zelda. 7 Skeletons against Link and Zelda. So what's Link's plan of action? He takes off his belt and wraps it around himself and Zelda, strapping them together back to back to fight the 7 skeletons. This to me seems like it would just hinder their mobility. So my question is what is the really point of Link strapping himself to Zelda like that while surrounded? does it actually make sense to do that?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: It'll be to ensure that they're always facing directly away from each other, 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, meaning between the two of them they've pretty much got 360 degree coverage. Otherwise there's a chance they might end up at say 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock, leaving themselves exposed from another direction.
