Mind Games - S9-E3

Continuity mistake: At the dinner table, after Edie plays her prank, the camera is opposite her. It's behind Danny and his sons. She sits down and puts asparagus on her plate. Two seconds later, the camera is now behind Pop. She picks up asparagus to put it on her plate, which is empty.

Milestones - S9-E12

Other mistake: First we see Jamie in a Ford CVPI with license plates 7554 like a couple of times before in the show, a minute after he's seen exiting a 2015 Ford Taurus with plates 82399. He answers a 10-85 while supposedly driving in the CVPI but somehow he manages to change in less than a minute to a Taurus. We see the exterior of the car, but the car's interior corresponding to the Taurus is seen a few seconds earlier. (00:03:35 - 00:04:20)

Milestones - S9-E12

Continuity mistake: Jamie is arresting a subject after he drops a knife. Jamie kicks the knife away from the subject and it lands next to the brown box and under the red wording on the box. In the next frame, the knife is now just behind Jamie's right knee. (00:05:10)

Snag.1

Blackout - S9-E4

Frank Reagan: And I don't have a Teflon suit. Everything gets to me. Every time one of ours is hurt, or jammed up, or he's in over his head, it gets to me. I just don't show it, 'cause I can't show it, 'cause nobody wants, or needs, a sensitive police commissioner.
Sid Gormley: OK.
Frank Reagan: So screw you!
Sid Gormley: Yes, sir. That an order, too?
Frank Reagan: Yeah, that's an order.
Sid Gormley: Screw me. I'm on it, boss.

Pilot - S1-E1

Trivia: In episode 1x1 "Pilot" the last scene was filmed at Brooklyn's American Veterans Memorial Pier, at Bay Ridge Ave aka 69th St, in Bay Ridge (right off the Belt). The location and design of this pier is quite distinctive.

Show generally

Question: Why why does Danny always yell, "hey!" When he's is a half a block from the perpetrators which gives the perpetrators 1/2 block head start running from Danny. Why doesn't he wait until he's close to him and he wouldn't have to chase him so far?

Answer: It's a common cop show plot device. If the police on the show always acted in the most logical way (i.e. not alerting a suspect to their presence) the show wouldn't have the opportunity for an exciting foot chase.
