Revealing mistake: In the cave, after Magnum bangs on the ground the hidden door opens, and when he lights another torch flame, the end of the cave set is visible at the right side of the screen. Also, in the previous shot Magnum is not wearing his watch when the door opens, then it suddenly appears on his wrist when he crawls through the doorway. (00:03:45)

Visible crew/equipment: While Rick and TC are waiting for Magnum to show up, Higgins approaches and stands between Rick's and TC's chairs. Then when Higgins walks toward his chair and sits down, we can see a plastic white T-mark on the sand where Higgins had been standing, as well as another plastic T-mark (covered with some sand) beside TC's chair leg. Continuity mistake: When Magnum opens the package with the videotape, in the wide shot he puts it into the player and begins to watch on his TV, but in the closeups it's an entirely different TV. (00:18:00)
Visible crew/equipment: After Magnum and Sue are shot at while they're standing outside the cabin, Magnum soon realises the shooter is gone. Then when Magnum finds the shell casing on the ground, during the next few shots the boom mic with its fuzzy windscreen keeps popping up into view, at the bottom of the screen. (00:27:15)
Visible crew/equipment: When Wainwright holds the gun on Sue and Magnum and they reach the beach, the plastic white T-mark is visible on the sand directly behind Sue. (00:36:35)
Continuity mistake: While Magnum and Sue are on the island, when Sue trips the booby trap there's a closeup of their feet and Sue is wearing tan dress shoes, but when the trapper comes out of hiding at Magnum's urging, Sue is wearing white sneakers. (00:35:10)
Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum and Brenda leave O'Shea's place, they keep arguing while Magnum is sitting in the Ferrari, then just as Magnum gets out of the Ferrari the reflection of the moving overhead boom pole/mic is visible on the car's surface. (00:15:45)
Visible crew/equipment: After Rick and Magnum barely get away with the old diary and letters, when they're back at the estate with TC and Higgins, Magnum explains Pali-Uli's motives as he paces the floor, and the two T-marks are visible on the rug, below the table. (00:35:15)
Visible crew/equipment: At the end, while Magnum is sitting at a patio table on the grass, Higgins walks over to him and hands him the note from Victoria, then as Higgins sits down we can see the actor's white T-mark taped on the grass beside the table legs, where Higgins had just stood. (00:44:05)
Continuity mistake: When Kaimi gives Magnum the address of the woman he's been asking about, Magnum is wearing the tan Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with the safari animal print, and when Magnum drives out to the woman's home, Magnum's shirt is still the same style, but the animal pattern is different. Continuity mistake: When Higgins states Walker's photo is a fake which confirms Magnum's suspicions, Magnum is wearing the white Polo Ralph Lauren shirt with the safari animal print. Then when it cuts to Magnum back at HPD handing Page the arrest report with the fake photo, the animal pattern on Magnum's shirt is entirely different, though he's still wearing the same style shirt. Visible crew/equipment: When Magnum walks away from Barbara and Biff at the cemetery, as Page's car pulls up alongside Magnum, the refection of the large location spotlight is visible on the car's surface. (00:15:20)

Continuity mistake: At the guesthouse, when TC is telling Magnum about his "modern coaching" videotaping technique, in the wide shot Rick is standing beside the TV with the VCR on top, but in the closeup it's an entirely different TV, with no visible VCR atop it. (00:12:20)
Visible crew/equipment: While Rita is wearing a wire during dinner at the restaurant, when Magnum walks in a white T-mark is visible on the floor under the tablecloth, at the bottom of the screen. (00:38:20)
Visible crew/equipment: At the club, when Magnum walks over to Higgins to stop the confrontation between him and Torres, just as Magnum and Higgins trade comments with each other, a T-mark is visible on the floor at the bottom of the screen. (00:12:50)
Visible crew/equipment: When Rosita pulls Higgins up to the dance floor without a "diagram of the steps," just as Higgins begins to dance, the white T-mark on the floor is visible at the bottom of the screen in two shots of the same angle. (00:11:55)

Visible crew/equipment: After they talk to Nick about Father Timothy it cuts to Maggie hounding Magnum not to go after Quang Ki. Just as they all turn the corner to walk into Magnum's VA hospital room, the nurses station is in the background at the right side of the screen, and there's lighting equipment and a director's chair visible. Also, after Magnum agrees to give Ron time to find Quang Ki, when it cuts to Katherine talking on the phone, we can see Larry Manetti just standing in the background at the right side of the screen, waiting for his cue to rush into the study. Continuity mistake: When Ron Templeton hands Magnum the manila envelope, in the shot facing Magnum as he pulls the photo out of the envelope, we can easily see the image from the back side of the photograph. In this shot the man in the photo is wearing a suit jacket, white shirt, tie, with nothing on his head, but in the next closeup of the photograph Quang Ki is wearing a uniform and cap. The same thing happens again later, when Magnum is in his VA hospital room. (00:32:30 - 00:36:30)
