Smaller Than Life - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: During the initial infiltration attempt, the little guy puts his hand on the railing once the alarm rings. His hand is on the inner part of the top, but when the guards storm the front porch guns in hand, he has it flat on top and moves to inner only a second later. At the very end of the scene he also has a guard pointing an automatic weapon at his head, but he was several steps behind in the wide angle. (00:03:10)

Audio problem: Waldo admitted the breaking and entering. Getting in the car with Rick he says "Would you just listen to me for one second?" but his lips do not move. (00:07:40)

Other mistake: The guy rummaging through Waldo's stuff in the room does not get alerted by their loud chat outside the room, nor the door unlocking, not even their steps; he just turns around suddenly when they both are in the room, standing still in silence and looking at him, who has his back turned to them. Must have had eyes on the back of his head. (00:09:10)

Smaller Than Life - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: In the first shot of Magnum's room during Rick's visit with Waldo's codes, the modem is to the left of the phone, along the left side of the bedstand. In close-up the modem and cables take the whole width of the bedstand, horizontally placed. (00:23:30)

Continuity mistake: At the hospital, there's a push button desk phone on the table between Lee's and Magnum's beds. There are two closeups of this telephone when both Lee and Magnum lift the handset, and the entire telephone changes to a multi-line desk phone. Plus, in Lee's handset closeup, his hospital ID bracelet changes from narrow to twice the width, and in Magnum's handset closeup, the large floral box of tissues change to a short box of tissues. Other mistake: Lee has an Atari 830 Acoustic Modem, which has on its front panel an instructional "cord side" illustration, showing the proper direction for the phone cord when the phone handset is secured in the top two cups. The telephone's cord must be placed at the right side in order for the acoustic coupler to work, but in both Lee's and Magnum's closeups, the phone cord is on the left side, but the acoustic coupler works properly. This is impossible. Also noticeable in closeups is the covered brand name of Atari on Lee's devices. (00:24:20 - 00:27:20)

Character mistake: Waldo's database entry from the CIA archive is quite odd. The most striking part is the "Basketball scholarship, 1983." Despite the way Rick reads it and reacts to it, the only way it could make sense if it referred to Waldo's son, or he'd have gotten it at the ripe age of 42 and 20 years after graduating from Yale. But it makes no sense that it would be there on his file, and contrasts with the succinct file on Skuler. (00:25:00)

Audio problem: Waldo from the ground sort of grabs the arm of the villain who pummels him. There are at least 2 hit sounds that don't match with neither the ground and pound of the Bill Hader-esque villain, nor upkicks from the midget. (00:41:50)

Almost Home - S3-E10

Magnum: I could appeal to his heart.
Lieutenant Maggie Poole: Yeah. And his stomach.
Magnum: Oh, come on! That food stuff, that was just an excuse. Listen, underneath that stomach was a heart as big as...that stomach.

A.A.P.I. - S7-E5

Trivia: At the awards ceremony, three men seated at a table together resemble three detectives from 1970s TV shows. Detective Mike Stone (played by Karl Malden) from ABC's Streets of San Francisco; Detective Frank Columbo (played by Peter Falk) from NBC's Columbo; and Detective Theo Kojak (played by Telly Savalas) from CBS's Kojak.
