The Pearls - S9-E15
Visible crew/equipment: After Elizabeth informs Ike that Corabeth's sister, Orma Lee, is resting in the back room it cuts to the Walton family having dinner, and as Jason tells the others they should all stay out of it, the shadow of the boom mic is moving about on the white door. (00:09:55)
Continuity mistake: After Rose tells the Baldwin sisters that she needs "time to catch up," when it cuts to Stanley and Rose driving up to the home, in the wide shot the windshield wipers are pointed to the right, but in the closeup they're pointed to the left, then back to the right again. (00:18:55)
Visible crew/equipment: After Stanley drives Rose home, when she tells him that she does not want to marry him Rose gets out of the vehicle, and as the camera tracks closer, the reflection of the camera operator is visible in the small window beside Stanley. (00:20:15)
Visible crew/equipment: After Cindy brushes Virginia's hair it cuts to Mary Ellen and Erin serving Rose, and in the background we can see the green tape mark on the floor near Elizabeth, then when Elizabeth walks toward the table the yellow T-mark is also visible on the floor behind Ben. (00:37:55)
Continuity mistake: When Ike gives Corabeth the Geiger headset, in the wide shot she places it up to her head with the wire at her left ear, but in the next shot the wire is at her right ear. (00:27:50)
Revealing mistake: While Erin and Paul are driving to his home, when Paul tells Erin that he lives about half an hour up the road, from this moment until the end of this scene we can see the edge of the rear projection screen, at the left side of the screen. (00:31:50)
Visible crew/equipment: After John-Boy says goodbye to his family then walks up the road it cuts to Belle in her office, and when she says that Mr. Fairfield is a man after her own heart, the shadow of the boom mic is moving on the wall at the upper right corner of the screen. (00:03:40)
The Inferno - S5-E20
Audio problem: When the Hindenburg explodes, audible screaming and panic of ladies' voices are heard in the foreground, but no crowd is present on the airfield except for the Naval aircraft workers.
The Inferno - S5-E20
Audio problem: While Johnboy and the press guy park, the Hindenburg is hovering over the aircraft field, while audible voices cheer alongside clapping and shouts. Yet, there is no visible crowd, but a small scattering of Naval comrades on the field. (00:17:23)
Revealing mistake: Her scalp 'shifts' slightly when Olivia fusses with her curly 'do, indicating it's an obvious wig.
Other mistake: John yells at the kids, "All right, everyone go to sleep now. It's getting late," when it's still daylight outside, possibly just after dinner time.
The Secret - S4-E16
Continuity mistake: The view outside Johnboy's bedroom window is a tree within feet when no such tree exists in prior episodes. In fact, all the bedroom windows face the driveway.
Revealing mistake: The wall in Jon-boy's room 'jiggles' a bit as Erin is confiding in Jon-boy about Maryellen, indicating it's either a set piece or an office partition instead of an exterior wall.
The Fighter - S4-E3
Revealing mistake: The Woman spectator at the boxing match is wearing an obvious 1970s fashionable floppy sun hat and dress, instead of an appropriate 1930s style.
Deliberate mistake: In the opening of seasons 2 onwards, there is a photo of Olivia outside the Church with the family. This is a scene from Season 1 Easter Story. However, it had to be from an outtake because the position of Erin, the absence of Jason, is different than what is shown in the episode. It's just something I noticed when I identified from where the shot was taken.
Factual error: When Olivia gets polio, she is at home. John is allowed to stay with her 24/7. It seems unlikely that the doctor, even if not taken to hospital, would allow John to stay in the room and risk contamination.
Audio problem: When Todd Cooper says "Good job" to Job-Bob while examining Jim-Bobs wooden plane int he boys' bedroom, it makes a very distinct echo that lingers for almost 30-sec, and then repeats very faintly in the next shot. (00:03:20)
Continuity mistake: Esther's wedding band is missing from her finger while she's sweeping and talking to Maryellen on the stairwell. But seconds later when she heads outside it's suddenly back on.
Factual error: The Literary Digest Sheriff Epp is reading in Godsey's store is dated Aug 1936, when only a year has passed since the show's inception at 1932.
Other mistake: The camera jolts a moment after John enters Ike's general store. (00:34:17)
