NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service

Truth or Consequences - S7-E1

Plot hole: We see Gibbs fire his sniper rifle and kill Saleem from a hill several hundred meters away over hilly and sandy terrain. We then see him shoot a guard while Tony and McGee are getting free. By the time they have walked down the corridor (about a minute) Gibbs has appeared in the hallway in full desert sniper suit. Yankee White - S1-E1

Gibbs: I heard you quit, Agent Todd.
Kate Todd: Happy news travels fast. Yes, I resigned. It was the right thing to do.
Gibbs: Yep. Pull that crap at NCIS, I won't give you a chance to resign.
Kate Todd: Is that a job offer?

Trivia: The show originally premiered as "Navy: NCIS", and ran with that title for the first season. Beginning with season 2, the title was shortened to just "NCIS", after the producers convinced CBS (the network had insisted on the longer title) that "Navy: NCIS" was redundant, since the "N" in "NCIS" stands for "Naval".
