Continuity mistake: In episode 10 Sayid shoots young Ben Linus in the chest, upper left part, just above his heart. It can be seen where the bullet enters the body. In episode 11 when Jin finds the boy and roll him over, the wound and blood is on the right side while the left is clean.
Continuity mistake: When Sawyer and Sayid are fighting and Jack tries to pull Sawyer away, Sayid changes from holding onto Sawyer's shirt to holding onto his pants between the shots. (00:07:55)

Continuity mistake: On the beach, when Shannon questions Boone about his and Locke's whereabouts everyday, Boone wears a sleeveless tee shirt with large Asian characters on the front. Then, when Boone kneels beside Shannon the entire design actually disappears. (00:09:35)
Tabula Rasa - S1-E3
Continuity mistake: When Kate leans over the unconscious marshal he wakes and chokes her, and when Jack subdues him the marshal's large head bandage falls off. When Jack squeezes water into the marshal's mouth, the bandages are wrapped perfectly round his head, yet when Kate stands up the bandages are off again. (00:19:30)
Continuity mistake: When Jin offers food to Claire while she is writing in her diary, we see her writing while holding the diary in her hand. When it cuts she holds the book in both hands, place it in her left hand and begin writing again. (00:23:40)
Homecoming - S1-E15
Continuity mistake: When Jack shows Locke the case with guns, the bar trim beneath the handle is whole and unbroken. However, in "Whatever the Case May Be" when Boone tries to open the case without the key, the trim beneath the handle breaks off and is damaged. (00:27:45)
Continuity mistake: The white tape round Charlie's fingers, that first read "fate" and later "late", drastically change their appearance - such as the size and shape of the letters, and the color and condition of the tape, in numerous consecutive shots.
Continuity mistake: When Shannon is looking for Boone but instead finds his "jungle pal" Locke, he is gutting his dinner and gets blood on his face. The blood on Locke's face repeatedly changes, such as in one shot there's a small clot of blood beside his eye, and in another shot the blood is lower and larger. (00:19:00)
The Greater Good (a.k.a. Sides) - S1-E21
Continuity mistake: Sayid wears a black tank top when he speaks at Boone's burial, and it has a wide shallow tear and small hole at the collar. When he walks away with Jack, who is complaining about Locke, though the style of top is identical, now the tear is narrower and deeper, and the hole is bigger. Throughout this episode the tear, on the tank top Sayid wears, alternates, and the hole even disappears. (00:08:50)
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 2 - S2-E24
Continuity mistake: The woman from Desmond's photo is totally different the second time we see it, but Desmond and the background are exactly the same as before.
White Rabbit - S1-E5
Continuity mistake: When Charlie and Hurley are talking to Jack about the water, Jack then shouts something like, "I'm not making any decision," and in the background two people walk by - they move from right to left. After a cut to Charlie and Hurley when Hurley asks "Why?" it cuts back to Jack, and the same two people walk from right to left again. (00:10:30)

Continuity mistake: When Kate pulls Ray from the burning pickup, in the first shot as she drags him across the grass his overall suspenders are not on - they are not clasped shut. However, as Kate drags him, a few shots later the suspenders are properly clasped on. (00:30:50)
Continuity mistake: When Kate, Jack and Charlie find the cockpit with the pilot, the blood on the pilot's face differs between shots, such as in the shot from behind, when he turns to show the location of the transceiver. (00:39:15)
Through The Looking Glass (2) - S3-E23
Continuity mistake: In episode "Through the Looking Glass" When Jack walks into the funeral parlor he looks at the coffin, the small part of the lid is to Jack's left, when they show you the coffin from the top the small part of the lid is to his right. (00:01:30)
Continuity mistake: When Claire is holding Aaron talking to Locke, she says "I can't believe he is still sleeping" and they show him sleeping. She then asks Locke if he wants to hold him and then hands Aaron to Locke. His eyes are wide open. Then you see Locke obviously holding a doll in the next shot and they are talking about him still being asleep. Locke then hands Aaron to Charlie and the eyes are again wide open and they are still talking about him being asleep. (00:19:40)
Continuity mistake: Season 6, episode 7 "Dr. Linus": When Ben writes 'ELBA' on the blackboard, he underlines it with a curved line, but as he walks to the back of the classroom in the next shot, you can see over his shoulder that the line is now straight. The handwriting of the letters has also changed noticeably.
Live Together, Die Alone, Part 1 - S2-E23
Continuity mistake: In Episode 2-23 Live Together, Die Alone When Mr Eko runs out of the hatch when John and Desmond are faking a lock down, you see Eko put his club in his belt right in the front of his pants. In the next scene as he passes out of the door the club is gone and then when he runs back to the door as it is closing he is holding it in his hand as he drops it and it falls under the door.
Whatever the Case May Be - S1-E12
Continuity mistake: After Kate and Sawyer find the corpses underwater, the marshal's Halliburton case that Sawyer retrieves has two protruding wide silver clasps to the handle's sides, and a thin, narrow handle with flat pivots at its base. The case that Kate tries to steal from Sawyer, and in all the following shots, has a very different style top - NO clasps whatsoever, and it has a round, wide handle with raised round pivots. The Halliburton with clasps is also seen in "Exodus 1" with the airport security officer. (00:06:10 - 00:12:20)
Continuity mistake: When Kate is aiming the gun at Juliet and The Other Woman, the person she is aiming at changes depending on the angle.
Answer: Using a mold, a realistic pregnancy belly is made of latex (rubber), including the distinct belly button, to suit the proportions of Emilie de Ravin who plays Claire. It is then painted with a special paint/adhesive compound that adheres to the surface and for shots of the actual belly, additional veining and stretch marks are airbrushed on.
