The Dick Van Dyke Show

Long Night's Journey into Day - S5-E23

Stupidity: Rob tells Jerry "I haven't stopped sneezing long enough to take allergy pills" yet right after he says that, he doesn't sneeze anymore till he gives out his home address. He could have just taken his pills then. Someone behind the camera probably reminded him to continue sneezing. (00:16:52 - 00:18:00)

Suggested correction: He's exaggerating, but a character not taking a pill in this situation doesn't constitute a stupidly mistake (minor plot hole). I've been in situations where I needed to take an allergy or pain pill and didn't, even though I had a chance, because my mind or focus was somewhere else.

Who Stole My Watch? - S5-E14

Stupidity: Right in the middle of this episode Laura claims "Sally has ashtrays all over her house!" When you see Sally's house there is only 1 ashtray in the entire house. (00:12:00)

Your Home Sweet Home is My Home Sweet Home - S4-E25

Stupidity: Right after Rob hangs up the phone after speaking with Marge, Rob throws the paper plate and a ceramic or corelle/glass coffee cup into the trash right behind him. (Usually paper, plastic or foam cups do not have a handle on the side of them that have a light reflection on the handle).

The Cat Burglar - S2-E15

Stupidity: Laura is shrieking, shouting and yelling. Rob is breathing things during the "night." But Richie never wakes up ever during the time it's dark "outside." However in other episodes Richie comes running in complaining about how loud everyone is. Real life if someone is shrieking or screaming us humans would be scrambling to find out what all is going on.

Season 4 generally

Trivia: During the fourth season, actress Rose Marie suffered the tragic loss of her husband to whom she had been married for 20 years. Amidst her mourning, Marie felt that the grief and pain of loss was too much to bear and wanted to leave the show entirely, just before the fifth and final season. John Rich, one of the show's directors, was there to console her and convince her to come back and finish out the remainder of the show.
