Corrected entry: When McCoy tell Kirk that the dead crewman has no salt in his body, the blood pressure gauge was almost all the way up, that would mean that there was too much salt in his body.

Correction: A dead person cannot have any sort of an accurate blood pressure reading.

Corrected entry: Despite the fact that McCoy has a tricorder that can scan for life forms, Kirk orders him to return to the Enterprise to scan for life forms there.

Correction: The tricorder can only scan the immediate area, but from the ship he can scan the entire planet.

When Kirk and Sulu enter the records room, they pick the lock. Later when they beam the officer back down, he enters the room without unlocking the door. The room should be locked since they beamed him down in the "past" erasing their having been on Earth and in the records room.



Gene Roddenberry created the transporter as an easier (and cheaper) way of getting Enterprise crew members onto a planet's surface, rather than landing the ship on the planet.
