Survival of the Idiots / Dumped - S2-E8
Corrected entry: When Patrick rips off some of Sandy's fur in "Survival of the Idiots," Spongebob says "Let me see that roll of tape." He shouldn't need to borrow it, though, because just a few moments earlier, he peeled some of the bark of Sandy's tree back and the sealed it with his own roll of tape. Patrick couldn't have borrowed Spongebob's, because his looked different from the one Spongebob used.
The Secret Box / Band Geeks - S2-E14
Corrected entry: In Band Geeks, when the people play, bubbles come out, but they're water breathing animals, so why does air come out?
Correction: Fish and creatures living in water still need oxygen. There is bubbles as the air needs to be supplied into the water like a fishtank needs a constant stream of air running into the water. Given the unrealism in this show anyway, it's not unbelievable that they could use the oxygen in their system to blow air through their instruments.
The Secret Box / Band Geeks - S2-E14
Corrected entry: When Spongebob enters the stadium from the ground, he can't enter unless the ocean is under the football stadium, which isn't likely.
Something Smells / Bossy Boots - S2-E1
Corrected entry: In Something Smells, at the movie theater when Patrick yells "LOOK AT IT", there are only about 30 people, but about 100 people run out.
Correction: There wasn't anything to suggest there was only the one theatre inside so the other people could be from the other theatres inside or even people in the building but not in the cinema. Even if there was only one theatre the number of people would have mostly likely deliberately been increased by the director to show how bad the situation was.
Big Pink Loser / Bubble Buddy - S2-E3
Corrected entry: Spongebob shrinks down after Patrick's suggestions to get an award. When Spongebob shrinks down and says "The smallest you can think of", his voice is high-pitched, but when Spongebob agrees with Patrick's suggestion about a job at the Krusty Krab, his voice is normal. It should be tiny until he grows back.
Correction: It is quite possible that Spongebob put on the high voice intentionally, and then decided to use his normal voice again.
Jellyfish Hunters / The Fry Cook Games - S2-E16
Corrected entry: What country is Spongebob representing in "The Recook Games," anyway? He starts out in a shirt that looks like the flag of Japan, and then his Speedo seems to have the flag of France on it.
Correction: He's representing the Krusty Krab.
Sandy, SpongeBob and the Worm / Squid on Strike - S2-E18
Corrected entry: In "Sandy, Spongebob, and the Worm," when the town is in the Krusty Krab talking about how to protect themselves from the Alaskan Bull Worm, the pink fish with the red bikini is in the crowd twice and there's another fish that's in there three or four times.
Correction: This happens in animated shows plenty of times. These characters are 'stock' characters, and aren't at all useful to the plot, and are therefore used more often than characters that actually have bigger parts. This is not a mistake - however, if someone such as Pearl or Larry were to be 'duplicated', that would be a mistake, because they actually have recurring and speaking parts.
Jellyfish Hunters / The Fry Cook Games - S2-E16
Corrected entry: In "The Frycook Games," when they make jokes involving the audience, (such as when that one section gets turned into fish sticks) look around at all of the audience members. Many of the same fish are in there twice, or more.
Correction: Well illustrators often use stock characters for their animated shows, and these fish are just 'extras' and can therefore be 'duplicated' in the audience. For example, the fish with the British accent (as in Band Geeks), often shows up in many different parts, as well as the brown fish that had a song in the episode about Jelly Patties. It's not a mistake, because the illustrators do this on purpose. However, it would be strange if some main-er and more unique (such as Larry the Lobster and Mrs. Puff) characters were 'duplicated'.
Dying For Pie / Imitation Krabs - S2-E6
Corrected entry: When Spongebob says "eyelashes" he should have said "eyebrows since thats whats missing.
Correction: This is true, but his eyelashes were missing also, so it's more of an error in the animation.
You Wish ('Shanghaied') / Gary Takes A Bath - S2-E11
Corrected entry: It's been established that Patrick doesn't have a nose. So then the perfume department in "Shanghied" should not affect him.
Correction: It doesn't effect his nose, it effects his eyes and mouth.
Your Shoe's Untied / Squid's Day Off - S2-E2
Corrected entry: In "Your Shoe's Untied," Spongebob comes into the Krusty Krab and says "I can't let Patrick see that I still haven't tied my shoes." Patrick and other customers are eating. But Spongebob is the only Krusty Krab frycook, so how could they be eating if he wasn't there.
Correction: In the episode "Just One Bite" we see that the restaurant has a Patty Vault in which they keep ready-to-serve Krabby Patties. We can assume that even if they don't have SpongeBob to cook patties, they do have some ready-made ones that they can simply get out and serve to the customers.
Pre-Hibernation Week / Life of Crime - S2-E13
Corrected entry: In "Pre-Hibernation Week," when they're swimming in the ice-cold water, Sandy says she has three days left until hibernation. But then, Patrick comes home with groceries and asks, "Who are you people?" to everyone under his rock, indicating that Spongebob had only been under the rock while he was on a daily errand. So it had only been a few hours since Sandy said she had three days left, but yet she starts hibernating.
Correction: Squidward says at one point during the search, "How about a break? We've been at it for days." This gives evidence that the fish had been searching (and Spongebob had been hiding) for the remainder of the three days, and by the time Sandy found him, the time was up and she fell asleep.
Pre-Hibernation Week / Life of Crime - S2-E13
Corrected entry: In an earlier episode, Sandy has hibernated and gained a lot of weight to do so. But in this episode, she stays her normal weight.
Correction: We saw in "Survival of the Idiots" that Sandy stuffed herself before hibernation. She didn't get to overeat this time, so she wasn't fat.
You Wish ('Shanghaied') / Gary Takes A Bath - S2-E11
Corrected entry: When SpongeBob wishes Squidward to come back, the Flying Dutchman choose SpongeBob to make the third wish. Squidward then says "We're about to get eaten". How did Squidward know?
Correction: Squidward only says this just before Spongebob wishes. Squidward is thinking Spongebob will say something stupid and get them all eaten in the process.
No Free Rides / I'm Your Biggest Fanatic - S2-E10
Corrected entry: In "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic", when it shows the fish down the cliff cheering for Kevin, why don't the fish just swim up the cliff?
Correction: As we've seen in previous episodes, none of the fish swim around, so it's reasonable to assume that they can't (and that they can only walk around).
Procrastination / I'm With Stupid - S2-E19
Corrected entry: When SpongeBob is feeding Gary that mountain of snail food, as he is pouring it, the level of the food never changes.
Correction: The tape Patrick uses is probably the one that Spongebob used to seal up the tree as we only saw one roll at a time. When they go to "steal" Sandy's fur Spongebob is ripping off her fur he is removing one hair of fur at a time, then Patrick becomes annoyed and uses the tape. The only difference from the tape Spongebob used to Patricks was the roller Spongebob used. Those rollers you have to put your own tape so Patrick might have just removed it from the roller.
