Factual error: On the 28th Jan episode, Gary is interviewed by his comanding officer having not shaved. The cap badge he is wearing is of the Royal Army Ordinance corps which were amalgamated in 1993 into the Royal Logistics corps (different cap badge) and the belts worn by the two soldiers behind him are from neither regiment. Also neither the RAOC or The RLC are infantry regiments. Gary is supposed to be in the infantry but he finished his training in Pirbright not Catterick where all the other infantry soldiers are trained.
Continuity mistake: In episode 7985 in the last few minutes. Audrey and Lewis are talking in Gail's house, Lewis goes out for a few minutes and when he comes back in, there is not a drop of water on him. Gail later comes back in, she is also completely dry. Lewis then leaves the house and Audrey follows. When she leaves, it is raining hard.
Other mistake: On the episode dating 22/10/09, when Tony receives a text from Carla it comes up as "unknown number," but when she calls him, it comes up as "Carla" and not as "unknown number".
Continuity mistake: When Mary Taylor begins trying to track down her son Jude with the help of Norris and Erica, she says that he would be 32 years old. Mary was born in 1974, making her 42. Which would mean she gave birth to Jude at the age of 10. But she has previously said that she became pregnant with Jude because she was raped at 14.
Factual error: On 21st July 2014, Kal's father and sister are shown going into Roy's and ask for a bacon bap. Muslims do not eat bacon, and it is Ramadam, so they do not eat from sunrise to sunset anyway.
Character mistake: Thursday 10th July. In conversation in the Rovers Gail (Helen Worth) calls Michael (Les Dennis) Les, not Michael.
Revealing mistake: In a recent episode, Roger is shown carrying a box with a 42" plasma TV into Janice's flat. Plasma TVs are very heavy, so it's most likely the box that Roger was carrying was empty.

Continuity mistake: In the 2013 Rovers fire where Stella is trapped in her bedroom, the duvet on the bed keeps changing throughout the scene. In one shot, it is a plain white duvet with a single grey stripe, while in subsequent shots it has a dark blue/light blue double stripe. Also, when the burning ceiling collapses on the bed, the duvet stays perfectly flat, but in a following shot, it is scrunched up underneath a burning beam without anyone having touched it.

Other mistake: September 12, 1973 - as Pat Phoenix walks through a door, the camera smacks into the back of her head with an audible thump. Once she enters the room, she glances angrily back at the crew, and a boom mic drops into shot to boot.
Other mistake: 28/09/22 Weatherfield football team play in green but the scene showed the whole stadium as blue eg. the stand seats, and everything in the office. For filming they use Bury FC's unused Gigg Lane Stadium, which is blue.
