Revealing mistake: In a recent episode (April 08), Lloyd referred to Steve as Simon during a conversation in the Rovers. Simon happens to be Steve's real name. Oops.

Show generally

Revealing mistake: In the 5th November episode when Sophie takes Audrey's fur hat off Beth and throws it in the fire, there are flames licking the hat, yet the hat itself doesn't catch fire, because when Keith retrieves it, it is unburnt. So the hat must either be made of asbestos or the flames are computer generated, not real.

Revealing mistake: In the 11/04/07 episode when Jason is hugging his baby and talking to his mum, it is extremely obvious that in some shots the baby is a rigid plastic dummy.

Show generally

Revealing mistake: In a recent episode, Roger is shown carrying a box with a 42" plasma TV into Janice's flat. Plasma TVs are very heavy, so it's most likely the box that Roger was carrying was empty.

Continuity mistake: In the programme shown on 11 June 2007, David Platt takes his exam and then sets fire to his exam paper. In the programme on 22 August 2007, he collects his result and gets an A. He could not possibly have got an A, as he set fire to his paper.

Suggested correction: He could very easily have re-taken his exam. That is very much allowed in the UK.

Yes, but if he blatantly set fire to his exam paper in the exam hall, it's most likely he would have been disqualified from taking any subsequent exams.

Well, we simply can't be certain of that. Plus it's a soap; things aren't always grounded in reality and things need to happen to characters (like passing exams) no matter what. Clearly he was allowed to re-take the exam, but the audience doesn't need to see that take place again.
