Question: In this episode, Peter and Brian escape the rehab centre to visit the teenage pregnancy clinic, where they prank the girls who are asleep by dipping their hand in a dish of water, which causes them to give birth prematurely. How does that prank make that happen?
Chosen answer:It's a common slumber party trick to put someone's hand in warm water, which is supposed to relax the person and make them wet the bed (this is in fact a myth). Peter and Brian's plan just worked better than they'd planned.
Audio problem: When Penny is talking to Raj on the stairs to the apartments, during some shots we see her from behind. In one shot, we hear her say something like "And I'm freaking out", but you can tell by the way her jaw moves that she was actually saying something different.(00:14:50)
Question: In this episode, when Amy is waiting outside for Sheldon because she was told he wasn't home when she arrived to see him, Sheldon is coming down the stairs. As he does so, he is singing a peculiar song and skipping steps. Why is he doing this? Is there something I'm missing?
Chosen answer:Sheldon has been shown to a) be a little weird and b) like to pass his commuting time exercising his mind with brain teasers and such. The song in the episode "The Desperation Emanation" names the star systems closest to our solar system, in order, from closest to furthest away. Typically of Sheldon, if he gets it wrong, he has to start again, or it isn't right!
Audio problem: In the scene where Eddy is in the helicopter and shouting down to Patsy who is on the ground, she says something like, "I'll meet you down there!", but you can tell that line was pre-recorded because her mouth moves completely out of line with the words.
Continuity mistake: When Kesha has posted the video of herself telling viewers that her competition is back on, the bar showing how long is left of the video moves backwards in each shot.
Trivia: On the episode "Communication Problems", when Mrs Richards is in the staff office claiming that her money had been stolen, Basil wound her up by suddenly shouting at her. When she banged her head on the shelf, Basil bent down and said, "Is this a piece of your brain?" which is an iconic moment of that episode. However, John Cleese wasn't originally going to put that line in, and had it cut out because he "didn't like it". Andrew Sachs, however, told him to put it back in because he wouldn't regret it, and so he did. Sachs himself claimed on Fawlty Towers: Basil's Best Bits that it was his "one contribution to rescuing the script."
Trivia: Tori is on her laptop in the plane while sitting next to Trina. When she goes onto her video chat profile, there is a list of usernames of people online. One name is DanWarp, which is the website name of the show's creator, Dan Schneider.
Continuity mistake: When Lizzie and Peter escape the Slazenger party and Peter starts to drive, there is no traffic behind them. But when Lizzie kisses him, distracting him from the road, there is suddenly a big red bus behind the car.
Revealing mistake: When Betty goes into labour in the night and goes downstairs with her suitcase, she tries opening the front door. You can see it moving with her pulling. And then when Frank goes to climb out of the window to follow the key, he climbs onto the sink, which almost rolls away, which reveals the fakery of the set.
Continuity mistake: Nessa goes home to Pam's house along with Stacey and Gwen, and in that scene you can see the tattoo on her arm of the Welsh dragon. If you focus enough you can see the dragon only has 3 legs, whereas the Welsh dragon has 4 legs, as does her tattoo usually. Both writer Ruth Jones and director Christine Gernon confirmed this on an outtakes special.
Trivia: On the episode where Smithy goes AWOL after learning he's to be a father, Gavin, Mick and Bryn go searching for him in the car. They decide to visit the drive-thru where Rudi works to see if she has any idea. Before Rudi comes over to the window, there is a big woman who calls for her. This woman is James Corden's (Smithy's) sister in real life. She's called Ruth, which is also Smithy's sister's name (Rudi is her nickname).
Continuity mistake: At the reception, Dawn is talking to Pam and Gwen about the fact that she and Pete's sex-life is dead. Then, Smithy taps on a glass to indicate the speeches beginning, but as the glass is being tapped Smithy is in the shot with his blazer on, talking to Bryn. Then the shot pans over to the other end of the table, and Smithy is suddenly stood up with his blazer off.
Continuity mistake: When Josh throws the piece of fruit (or whatever it was) to break the lamp, Audrey checks out the lamp stand. In the shot where Walter first arrives and she's checking it out, it's all in one piece. But in another shot, it's suddenly all broken and a big piece is missing.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Amanda has come downstairs after "never having that much to drink", her leggings are pink. Then it shoots to Graham, and back to Amanda, and her leggings are suddenly a dark brown. This definitely wasn't a trick of the light.
Audio problem: When Big calls Carrie and is leaving a message after Carrie has long since moved to Paris, Charlotte is there. She picks up the phone and says "Hi, it's Charlotte", but her mouth does not match the words. Her mouth says something like "Hey" not "Hi".
Trivia: When Lilly has briefly moved in with her dad, he answers the phone in a girly voice. He then says "Oh, hi Charlie!" This is a reference to Charlie Sheen who stars in 'Two and a Half Men', in which Jon Cryer, who plays Lilly's dad, also plays Charlie's younger brother on that show.
Trivia: At the beginning, when Zack puts the music on for Woody, the music is actually the instrumental from the song he, Marcus and Cody composed for Jordin Sparks.
Trivia: In the episode "Magnetic Distractions Part 1", when Paul and Barry are in the shop with all the TVs, and Barry keeps accidentally changing the channels, one of the channels he changes to has footage of the boys playing football from the episode "Football Heroes".
Continuity mistake: On the episode dating 22nd January 2010, when Peggy is telling Roxy off for firing Tracey, they are in the kitchen. Roxy then turns to walk downstairs, and her ponytail is high and bouncy. Then, two seconds later, when she is visible again, her ponytail is low and messy.
