Corrected entry: Dennis and Neville are push-starting Oz's car after they have stopped for a break. This wouldn't help, as the car has an automatic gearbox. The automatic gear selector on these cars (Ford Zephyr) is on the steering column and can be seen when they break down on the motorway.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Neville is telling Dennis he should find a woman, Dennis is getting dressed up in his suit to meet Dagmar. After Neville has finished talking, Dennis leaves the hut without a suitcase. But when he arrives at the hotel with Dagmar he is seen putting his case on the bed(Dagmar has one as well). It is clear that he has come straight from the hut, as he is telling Dagmar what Neville had told him before he left.
Neville Hope: Erm... I'll have to ask Brenda.

Trivia: The highest recorded audience for any episode of any series of Auf Weidersehen Pet was 16,017,000 for episode eight of series two, in which Oz returns to Newcastle to stop his son moving to Italy.

Correction: In fact you can push-start an automatic. Instead of popping the clutch, which you don't have - when you get up to speed you drop the shift from neutral to drive. Not good for the gearbox, but it works.
