Continuity mistake: In the introduction, when TJ pulls the ball off Gus, Gus is covered in gum. When they are walking into the school, the gum has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When TJ's friends climb on the jungle gym to try and take TJ's place, we see that Gretchen is the last one up and there is no-one on the bars behind her. But in the next long shot, Mikey is right behind her. Then when it shows a close-up of them, Mikey is gone again; then he reappears a moment later.
Continuity mistake: When The Library Kid speaks for the first time, you see a shot of the gang, T.J's hat and hair colour are mixed up.
Continuity mistake: When Mikey's music teacher gets engaged to the Spanish guy, her ring disappears between shots.
Other mistake: After Dave takes away Mikey's lunch tray, it fades to a shot of the school clock, and there is no 5 on it.
Continuity mistake: After Mikey pours dirt into the hole, he holds the bucket in his right hand, but it disappears in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: When the Diggers lift the treasure out of the hole, there is a lock on one side of it. Three shots later, the lock had moved to the opposite side of the treasure chest. The lock then vanishes and reappears in the following shots.
Continuity mistake: When Vince and Spinelli are talking in front of the bathroom doors, when Spinelli says, "How about you and me sneak out... just the two of us," the push plate is missing from the boys' bathroom door, then it reappears a shot later.
Other mistake: When Spinelli tells Gretchen, "Gretchen, what colour is the sky in your world?", Spinelli's neck clips through her dress collar twice.
Continuity mistake: When Gretchen leaves the school building at the end, she leaves the doors open behind her, but when she catches the helmet that Spinelli throws to her, the doors are suddenly closed.
Other mistake: When Gretchen enters Kelso's Corner Store, the blue and yellow bicycles are slightly cut off at the bottom of the screen.
Other mistake: When Gretchen is in Kelso's Corner Store, Mr. Kelso tells her that if she thinks she got the money in the wrong way, she should just give it back. In this shot, part of Mr. Kelso's shirt collar is incorrectly coloured red; then it changes to its proper tan colour mid-shot.
Continuity mistake: At the start, when T.J. tells Gretchen to save up her allowance so she can buy Ruddler's Red Rocket, Gretchen's helmet strap has vanished; then it reappears a shot later.
Continuity mistake: After Miss Grotke writes "The Zen of Homework" on the chalkboard, she holds the chalk in her right hand, but it disappears in the next shot.

Continuity mistake: When Spinelli's father is first shown watching TV, there is no ring on his left hand, but one appears on his ring finger in the next shot. The ring then vanishes and reappears in the following shots. (00:03:32)

Continuity mistake: When Randall's dad is talking to the gang about what Randall has been telling him about them (when they are outside, in front of the bouncy thing), his moustache disappears mid-sentence (in a close-up of him) and reappears when he is shown again.
Other mistake: At lunch, when Sam is using a spoon to shape his mashed potatoes on the tray, his right arm clips through the tray just as he says, "Maybe I should clear out the east wall like this." Then, when Sam says, "Maybe I should fortify the south side first," he's using the spoon to move the mashed potatoes on top of the tray, but his arm and spoon are under the tray, so it looks as if the potatoes move on their own. Additionally, when Sam states that he's so confused, the spoon held up in his right hand appears to vanish in the next shot.
Continuity mistake: The gang hatches a plan and tells Dave that Sam is trapped in a cave-in, so Dave begins digging to save him. When Sam and Spinelli return with their ice cream cones, Sam's gloves vanish and reappear a couple of times while he is holding his ice cream.
Continuity mistake: After Upside-Down Girl tells TJ he must do something about Dave, when the gang look for Sam and discuss the situation with him, the clock over the school doors repeatedly changes time between shots. Then, when Sam grabs the shovel and jumps back into the hole, the two hands of the clock vanish, only to reappear and change time yet again.
