Devoted - S4-E4

Continuity mistake: As Chloe and Clark talk about their feelings the shoulder protector/pad of Clark's backpack switches position with no help from Clark. At first it is more in front and showing more than a few shots later, again with no help from Clark by shifting the backpack, it is more on top of the shoulder and not as visible.

Visage - S2-E11

Continuity mistake: Lex and Clark are playing pool. Lex misses his shot on the 12 ball and scratches which leaves the 12 ball near the pocket. After Clark gets the cue ball, he makes his shot on a different ball and the 12 ball that was next to the pocket is gone without it being knocked into the pocket.

Redux - S2-E6

Continuity mistake: Clark tells his parents that he went to see his grandfather and that he asks to give the cashiers check to his mom. Mortal - S5-E2

Continuity mistake: When Clark's parent show up at the house Clark hurries up and acts busy. He grabs 4 boards and moves them from one part of the kitchen to the other and leans them up against the wall. When Clark turns around to face his parents there are only 2 boards leaning on the wall.

Gone - S4-E2

Continuity mistake: During much of the conversation between Clark and Lana, while in the caves, you can see the cave painting that matches the tattoo on Lana's back is behind her. Then, towards the end of the conversation, she is still standing in front of Clark and during the scene has not moved from that position yet, once she sees the cave painting behind Clark she walks over to it and turns around to face Clark, which puts the painting behind her even though it was already behind her before she moved.

Splinter - S5-E7

Continuity mistake: When Clark's truck stops rolling over the hood is stuck open. As Clark pops up from the front seat the hood is down for the camera to get a shot of Clark.

Onyx - S4-E17

Continuity mistake: As the computer says "Subject seeds exposed to radiation" there is a camera shot showing the temperature monitor in the lower right of the shot. In that shot the readout shows the temperature reading is close to 100% of maximum. Then, in the next shot as the scientist says ".absorption level: as expected" the temperature monitor is now close to 90% as we see it climb up to the 98% they were trying for.

Krypto - S4-E14

Continuity mistake: Clark goes to see Lex about the dog. Lex, who was about to start a game of pool, breaks a fresh rack. Lex then goes to make his second shot from near the side pocket and as he does you can see there are two striped balls near the rail close to Lex's cue stick. Just after he takes his shot those balls are gone even though those balls had not been hit.

Red - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Pete and Jonathan corner Clark in the cornfield, Pete opens a lead box containing green kryptonite to weaken Clark. The position of how Pete holds the lead box changes every cut. At first he is holding it with just his right hand, then just his left, then both his hands.

Red - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: When Chloe tells Pete about her discovery about the Red meteor rocks, she gives a sample to Pete who then looks at it. At this time the red meteor embedded in the rock is above Pete's left index and middle fingers. Cut to a close up of Pete's ring and the rock but now the rock is embedded in between Pete's left index finger and thumb.

Obscura - S1-E20

Continuity mistake: As Chloe leaves Clark calls out her name. In the shot from Chloe's side of the room, Clark is holding the pitchfork horizontally low in front of him. The shot switches, as Chloe finishes her turn, and now Clark is holding the pitchfork with his arm bent so that the pitchfork is no longer low in front of his waist.

Pariah - S4-E12

Continuity mistake: Alicia's hair keeps changing as Clark holds her in his arms. In some shots the hair on her right side is messy. When the shot switches to a close up, her hair becomes neatly combed and tucked behind her ear. All of this occurs after Clark burns the rope she was hanging by.

Gone - S4-E2

Other mistake: Lois digs up Chloe's grave site to unearth her casket. It is obvious that the casket is not buried six feet deep. You would think, with all that is going on, that LuthorCorp would have at least buried the casket deeper to deter inquisitive eyes and maybe throw in a few scattered bones for good measure.

Trespass - S6-E14

Martha Kent: Clark? What are you still doing out here?
Clark Kent: Well, I'm still doing my chores.
Martha Kent: Well, you usually finish those in about two minutes. How is it that I drove to Metropolis, attended the Children's Foundation dinner, and made it back before you finished?
Clark Kent: Because I'm doing them the normal way.

Trivia: Clark always wears blue and red clothes (or at least one of these colors). No surprise that when he got his Superman costume, he chose those same colors.

Answer: In the comics, Krypto is a dog from Krypton who was used as the passenger in a test launch by Jor-El, Superman's father, before he launched the actual rocket taking his infant son to Earth. Krypto's capsule was involved in a mishap, sending it out of Kryptonian orbit and eventually found its way to Earth where he linked up with the young Clark Kent. Like any native of Krypton, Krypto has superpowers on Earth. In Smallville, the dog is a standard Earth dog who has been experimentally injected with kryptonite, giving him super-strength for a limited period of time, who escapes and links up with Clark (who suggests the name Krypto, ostensibly because of the dog's cryptic origins). It doesn't take too long for the dog's strength to fade, and the Kents decide to keep him, although they ultimately name him Shelby, after a dog that Martha Kent had in childhood.
