Boy Meets World

Trivia: Will Friedle said he was approached by Michael Jacobs towards the end of season one and told that he was gaining too much weight, following the filming of a scene where he hops over a fence. He attributed this to having a case of Coke placed in his trailer every morning that would be gone by the end of the day. He proceeded to slim down ahead of filming for season two.

Trivia: Will Friedle once received a phone call from a Disney executive inquiring about a pair of black dress socks worn by Eric, to which he told them he didn't have them.

Class Pre-Union - S1-E9

Trivia: Guest star Jim Abbot reportedly didn't know he was going to be appearing in this episode. He thought he was just there to visit the set and meet the cast and crew. He became extremely nervous when he arrived, and they just handed him a script. Rider Strong speculated it was a miscommunication, as the producers probably asked him to make an appearance, which Abbot misinterpreted as visiting.

Trivia: Rider Strong kept the leather jacket worn by Shawn after the show ended. He says someone stole it out of his car a couple years later. A fan found a replica of the jacket, and it was presented to him at a fan event in Philadelphia. He ended up leaving it on the shuttle bus on his way to the airport after the event. He sarcastically feels owning such a jacket is a curse. He also claims to have stolen the painting that was in the college student union set.

Trivia: One of the drawers in the Matthews' kitchen was filled with candy for the cast to eat, as the parents of the child cast members reportedly asked for craft services to not have excessive junk food provided to them.

Train of Fools - S3-E10

Trivia: During a run-through, Danielle Fishel sliced open her shin on a piece of metal sticking out of one of the subway train seats. Despite having blood pouring down her leg, she didn't tell anyone and continued with the scene.

Teacher's Bet - S1-E8

Trivia: When Topanga says "I will only answer to the name," and then proceeds to growl, after the laugh track dissipates, you can hear members of the production crew laughing. Apparently this scene was not filmed in front of an audience due to the amount of chaos being filmed, which is why the laughter of the crew is audible. (00:13:30)

Trivia: Stuart Minkus' name was originally Stuart Lempke. They had to change his name on short notice because through the legal process of name clearance, they discovered there was a real person named Stuart Lempke who also happened to be living in Philadelphia, where the show takes place. Rather than getting the man's permission to use his name or risk being sued by him, they opted to change the name.

Cory's Alternative Friends - S1-E4

Trivia: When Cory has curlers in his hair in an attempt to restore it to its curly state, Eric takes a Polaroid picture of him. Will Friedle revealed on the Pod Meets World podcast that he actually kept the pictures used for the filming of this scene and found them in his childhood bedroom ahead of discussing the episode.

Trivia: On the Pod Meets World podcast, Danielle Fishel has said that for whatever reason, wearing a jacket inhibits her acting ability.

Phaneron

Trivia: According to the Pod Meets World podcast, it was thought that one of the reasons that Minkus was dropped from the show after season 1 was because ABC already had a hugely popular nerd character in their TGIF lineup with Steve Urkel, and they didn't want to have an Urkel 2.0. Minkus actor Lee Norris revealed he was in the room when the decision was made, and it was because they were going to age up the child characters closer to their actual ages, and his short stature was problematic.

Teacher's Bet - S1-E8

Trivia: According to the Pod Meets World podcast, the ethnic slur that Linda is called was originally in the episode's script. Ben Savage had never heard the word before and mispronounced it at the table read. The slur was ultimately removed from the script, likely at the request of the studio, though the different ethnic slur directed towards Shawn strangely made into the episode. Cory later mispronounces "antisemitism" later in the episode, and Will Friedle pondered that Ben's mispronounciation of the Asian slur at the table read was the reason for that.

Continuity mistake: The age gap between Eric and Cory decreases as the series progresses. At the start of the show, Cory is in 6th grade and Eric is a high school sophomore, meaning they are four years apart, give or take a few months. By season 3, Cory is in 9th grade (confirmed by dialogue mentioning that Shawn, who is in the same grade as Cory, is 15 years old), and Eric is a senior, leading to an age gap of three years. The first episode of season 4 takes place a couple months after the end of season 3, with Eric and Cory returning from a summer Road Trip, but just two episodes later, Cory mentions that he is in 11th grade, while Eric is still barely out of high school, leading to an age gap of two years.

What I Meant To Say - S3-E3

Mr. Williams: I'm here to teach you to find the truth in the media. Because there is a difference between what they say, and what is real.
Mr. Turner: That was very good. Watch this: Hunter, what did he just say?
Shawn: Something about Israel.

Question: Topanga said in one episode that she has a weird middle name, did she ever say what it is?

Answer: Topanga's middle name is never specified. Considering her sister's name is Nebula Stop-the-war Lawrence, Topanga's is probably something equally unusual.
