Revealing mistake: At the end, as Ray's parents walk out the back door, Robert says "extra credit". Look out the door when he says this, and you can see the house in the distance wave as if it were a painting.

Factual error: It's Thanksgiving and Ray and Frank want to watch football. Ray's mother changes the channel to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. But these programs are not on at the same time. The parade always ends at about noon. The first game starts at about 1:00 and the second game starts at about 4:00.

Continuity mistake: Debra is sitting up in bed holding a magazine and talking to Ray. She quickly puts the magazine down in her lap as she says something to Ray but then in the next shot, she's holding the magazine up again. (00:05:25)

Continuity mistake: In the pilot, Ray and Debra's bedroom has no windows by the bedroom door, and the closet and bed are near it. In episode two, windows appear near the bedroom door, and the closet is on the opposite side of the room. (00:05:30)
Continuity mistake: Ray offers to rub Debra's feet instead of doing another chore. He takes her black socks off and throws them on the floor, under the table. The socks can be seen for a few shots, in the same spot, after Robert comes in. At one point, however, one of Debra's black socks can be seen on the couch in the middle, and in the next shot, the sock has been removed.
Other mistake: In the first episode "The Pilot", the outside of Raymond's house and the bedroom both look different than in the rest of Season 1.
Visible crew/equipment: The overhead microphone slips into the view many times.
Suggested correction: This needs to be way more specific.
Revealing mistake: When Raymond runs out of The Shower at the beginning of the episode, you can see that he's wearing nude colored shorts.
Continuity mistake: Flashing back to when Frank is first showing Ray and Debra their home, a dishwasher appears in the kitchen. The dishwasher is absent in the initial episodes, however, remaining so as late as episode 9.
Visible crew/equipment: Marie is asked to leave by Ray after giving Debra the money. When she stands up an assortment of lights and boom mics can be seen at the top of the screen. (00:17:10)
Continuity mistake: Ray says "This has to be woman's work" at the start and is holding the papers in his right hand. Camera cuts and now he's holding them in 2 hands and they are neater. (00:02:30)
Continuity mistake: Ray places a donut that Debra throws at him on the third step and then stands up. Later the donut appears on the second step when Frank comes down the stairs. (00:19:15 - 00:20:45)
Continuity mistake: Because she cried, during Ray and Debra's entire fight her mascara is ruined. However, when Ally comes down the stairs to show them her present, Debra's make-up is fine.
Visible crew/equipment: When Marie says "it doesn't come off" there is a boom mic over her head.
