Show generally

Continuity mistake: During the wedding, there are flashes of the different people from throughout the story. In the one showing Lady Catherine and her daughter, in the first shot, Anne can be seen sitting very close to the arm of the sofa, but in the zoom out, she is further along.

Suggested correction: This is just a distortion of perspective because of two different camera angles. If you look at the pattern on the sofa upholstery you can see she is sitting in the same spot in both shots, midway between two vertical panels with red borders.

Trivia: Jennifer Ehle who played Lizzie is blonde - she knew Lizzie was to be brunette, so she dyed her eyebrows the night before the dressed audition to give her a better chance of suiting the part. (This is confirmed in the 'making of' book).

Episode #1.3 - S1-E3

Question: When the Gardiners arrive at Longbourn for Christmas, where are their children? Surely, they would not have travelled without their children at Christmas.

Answer: The children were probably left with a nanny or relatives. It's very likely that the Longborns would have left them at home. Travelling for days by horse-drawn carriage over bumpy dirt roads is difficult in the best of circumstances, and particularly hard during winter. The trip would be too arduous for young children.
