The Mandalorian

Chapter 8: Redemption - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: Somehow without being challenged, the imperials put explosive on the door of the cantina and blow it open, nearly flushing out Cara. More pew-pew action ensues, Mando is critically wounded, and his pals drag him back to the cantina and...close the door behind them. The building grew a door back? (00:17:05 - 00:18:30)

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: In the scene with all the Mandalorians just hanging out at some bar, Boba Fett retorts at Sasha Banks' character; "if it isn't the quacta calling the stifling slimy." There's a cut and his rangefinder is inexplicably tilted forward. It is back to normal in the rest of the scene. (00:06:15)

Chapter 13: The Jedi - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: After Ahsako has beaten Morgan, she holds her light saber up to Morgan's face so the tip is near the top of Morgan's head. In the next shot it's now closer to her neck and in the last shot, her light saber is almost parallel to the ground.

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: At the end, when The Mandalorian takes his helmet off so Grogu can see his face, the helmet is placed on the floor facing backwards. When Grogu is placed on the floor, it is now facing forward. Then when Luke walks away, the final shot shows it facing backwards again. (00:36:50)

Chapter 10: The Passenger - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: The giant spider punches at least two holes in the cockpit glass, the legs going through it all the way, but there are no holes visible in the rest of the episode, nor when the camera is inside the cockpit, nor when he 's talking with Dave Filoni and his buddy and the spider queen is slumped dead, just by the spot she was assaulting. (00:31:50)

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: In the opening recap of the episode a scene is shown where the Mandalorian is sending a speech to Moff Gideon, which was originally from the end of episode 15. In episode 15, he says "He (Grogu) means more to me than you will ever know," but in the recap he says "It means more to me than you will ever know."

Chapter 6: The Prisoner - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: The droid arm with the blaster on Mayfeld's back switches from his right side to his left side between shots. The arm is on his right side throughout the entire episode, so they probably flipped the footage of that one shot, causing the arm to be on the wrong side. (00:30:37)

Chapter 8: Redemption - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: When IG-11 is making its way through the city with a cartoonish trail of explosions, Greef Karga is having a drink. There's a sudden cut, and in the second shot the glowy liquid in the bottle is bouncing around very noticeably as if the bottle (or the whole counter) was just moved/knocked, which did not happen in the previous shot. (00:15:45)

Chapter 8: Redemption - S1-E8

Continuity mistake: The Scout Troopers have finished their shooting game. One of them gets up and the other looks bored (and annoyed because he does not get to see the 'package'). He is leaning against the bike's handle, or not, depending on the shot. (00:04:10)

Chapter 7: The Reckoning - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When the two bodyguards approach Greef Karga and the others from behind with the intention to shoot the good guys, the green guy has his pistol already fully raised, but conveniently when Karga double crosses him the gun is lower. (00:24:45)

Chapter 7: The Reckoning - S1-E7

Continuity mistake: When Greef Karga approaches Mando's party apologizing for the far away rendez-vous (French is trendy even in space), the leftmost guy in his group has a long axe-like weapon he holds in his left hand, right hand at the reverse shot, let again in the rest of the scene. (00:17:20)

Chapter 2: The Child - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: The jawas are about to leave; during the scene, the position of the shadows on the ramp of the sandcrawler keeps changing between shots. It is subtle at the beginning when it's just Kuiil, but as a battered up Mando returns with the egg, it's very apparent. (00:22:00)

Chapter 8: Redemption - S1-E8

Greef Karga: He missed!
The Mandalorian: He won't next time.
Cara Dune: Our blasters are useless against him.
Greef Karga: Hey, let's make the baby to the magic hand thing. Come on, baby! [Waving his fingers] Do the magic hand thing. [The Child coos.] I'm out of ideas.

Chapter 13: The Jedi - S2-E5

Question: Ahsoka's "head-tails" (called Lekku, technically) seem to have creases in them. Are these meant to be scars from battles, or are they just folds in whatever material was used to make the prosthetics? With all the high production values elsewhere, this would seem to be a fairly ropey oversight if so.

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: They could be just like wrinkles from age, like the elderly Togruta in the Zygerrian slaver arc in The Clone Wars series, as Ahsoka is considerably older than her animated appearances. I think there is probably a character design/stylisation aspect to it as well - the other Togruta we've seen in live action, Shaak Ti, has four segments or folds in her lekku that were not visible in her Clone Wars appearances, so it would seem the character design in Clone Wars and Rebels reduces such features.
