The Mandalorian

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: In the scene with all the Mandalorians just hanging out at some bar, Boba Fett retorts at Sasha Banks' character; "if it isn't the quacta calling the stifling slimy." There's a cut and his rangefinder is inexplicably tilted forward. It is back to normal in the rest of the scene. (00:06:15)

Chapter 13: The Jedi - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: After Ahsako has beaten Morgan, she holds her light saber up to Morgan's face so the tip is near the top of Morgan's head. In the next shot it's now closer to her neck and in the last shot, her light saber is almost parallel to the ground.

Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: At the end, when The Mandalorian takes his helmet off so Grogu can see his face, the helmet is placed on the floor facing backwards. When Grogu is placed on the floor, it is now facing forward. Then when Luke walks away, the final shot shows it facing backwards again. (00:36:50)

Chapter 10: The Passenger - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: The giant spider punches at least two holes in the cockpit glass, the legs going through it all the way, but there are no holes visible in the rest of the episode, nor when the camera is inside the cockpit, nor when he 's talking with Dave Filoni and his buddy and the spider queen is slumped dead, just by the spot she was assaulting. Chapter 16: The Rescue - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: In the opening recap of the episode a scene is shown where the Mandalorian is sending a speech to Moff Gideon, which was originally from the end of episode 15. In episode 15, he says "He (Grogu) means more to me than you will ever know," but in the recap he says "It means more to me than you will ever know."

Chapter 12: The Siege - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: The kid who eats cookies sometimes keeps his hand closer to the biscuit packet, some other times closer to the computer. When Baby Yoda nags him for the first time cooing, you can notice his left hand on the desk under one angle and to his mouth munching in the other. (00:09:50)

Chapter 12: The Siege - S2-E4

Continuity mistake: Walking in town, Greef Targa tells Mando he's busy with "clerical work." Look at the woman by a big bowl; the shopkeeper is serving her stirring the bowl with a big spoon, but in the next shot the spoon is staying still. (00:08:05)

Chapter 11: The Heiress - S2-E3

Continuity mistake: The Mon Calamari mechanic at the beginning of the episode says "I'll fuel it up" about the ship. Within the space of the camera cut, the eggs in the frog's tank have changed position from floating at the top to 1/4 from top. (00:05:10)

Chapter 10: The Passenger - S2-E2

Continuity mistake: Ice starts to crumble under the Razor Crest and the frog lady puts her right hand on the controls to hold herself steady. First shot and the 'thumb' is wrapped around the edge of the console, second one, and he's keeping his hand flat. (00:16:50)

Chapter 9: The Marshal - S2-E1

Continuity mistake: During the flashback of Cobb's revenge, it's obvious that the reaction shot of him taking a hit that is absorbed by the armor is edited in introducing an artificial pause into the pace of the action; the person that is slumping after being hit is still falling after his long dramatic pause in close-up. Chapter 8: Redemption - S1-E8

Greef Karga: He missed!
The Mandalorian: He won't next time.
Cara Dune: Our blasters are useless against him.
Greef Karga: Hey, let's make the baby to the magic hand thing. Come on, baby! [Waving his fingers] Do the magic hand thing. [The Child coos.] I'm out of ideas.

Chapter 13: The Jedi - S2-E5

Question: Ahsoka's "head-tails" (called Lekku, technically) seem to have creases in them. Are these meant to be scars from battles, or are they just folds in whatever material was used to make the prosthetics? With all the high production values elsewhere, this would seem to be a fairly ropey oversight if so.

Jon Sandys

Chosen answer: They could be just like wrinkles from age, like the elderly Togruta in the Zygerrian slaver arc in The Clone Wars series, as Ahsoka is considerably older than her animated appearances. I think there is probably a character design/stylisation aspect to it as well - the other Togruta we've seen in live action, Shaak Ti, has four segments or folds in her lekku that were not visible in her Clone Wars appearances, so it would seem the character design in Clone Wars and Rebels reduces such features.
