Continuity mistake: When Rockford and "Angelo" are at La Rue for lunch Angel is wearing a ring on his right pinky, but in the closeup of Angel mishandling the escargot tongs, the pinky ring vanishes and then it reappears. (00:07:50)
Continuity mistake: After Rocky tells Houston about her grandfather's murder Rockford tells his dad to give her a little time, and then it cuts to the closeup of Houston slamming the butter onto a rectangular butter dish. In the next shot some changes include the rectangular butter dish is now a round plate, and the white laminate counter has changed into a yellow patterned ceramic tile countertop. (00:19:50)
Continuity mistake: At the start, when Claire is being chased by the two goons, as they make a sharp right turn their car's front left hubcap flies across the street, then when they pull up behind Claire's parked car, the hubcap reappears on their tire. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: During the car chase, when Rockford pulls into a lot thinking he dodged Hammel's two goons a moment later they back up, and as they make a sharp spin their car's front left hubcap flies off, but it reappears on that tire a few shots later. (00:22:55)

Continuity mistake: When Rockford walks into the Mayfair bathroom there's a guy at one of the sinks. The style of the sink and faucet is entirely different between the closeups and wide shots. (00:46:00)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford finds the rock band clipping amongst Aura Lee's collection of matchbooks, it's been cut directly above the heading "Underground Railroad" when we see it in closeup twice. First time at the beach, then later when Rockford and Sara start back at square one. but while they're still back at square one Rockford phones Becker, and now the words "Coming Soon!" precede the "Underground Railroad" heading. Continuity mistake: While Rockford is in the Mayfair bathroom he deliberately spills soap on the floor, and when he places his hand in his pocket to remove the roll of coins the closeup is a flipped shot. Note the direction of the buttons. (00:46:55)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford and Tawnia are at the drive-in restaurant having burgers, the window tray clips are either yellow or red depending on the angle of the shot. (00:34:40)
Continuity mistake: While Rockford is driving to meet with Claire at the zoo, the license plate number is "835-OKG" at the front of his car, then later when Rockford eludes Becker's tail it's "853-OKG" on his front license plate. (00:07:05 - 00:26:40)

Continuity mistake: When Rockford and Len dig up the box in the chicken shed Jolene is the one who retrieves it. In the two closeups, as Jolene lifts the box and then as she removes the contents her nail polish changes and her ring/bracelet vanish. (00:46:20)
Continuity mistake: After Rockford gives Dexter's secretary, Miss Adams, his last lit cigarette for her collection, when it cuts to Rockford driving up to the apartments, his front license plate number is "835-OKG" but it's "853-OKG" on the back license plate. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: While Rockford is kept waiting at Tallman's office he expresses his frustration to the secretary, Betty, and when she puts her eyeglasses back on in the closeup her left hand is empty, but in the next shot a pencil has suddenly appeared in her raised hand. (00:35:00)
Continuity mistake: The front and back license plate numbers on Rockford's car are different. The front plate number is "835-OKG" but the rear plate number is "853-OKG" and it's particularly noticeable when Rockford eludes his tail at the tunnel. (00:29:30)
Continuity mistake: After the police inform Rockford that Prentiss Carr's cause of death was suicide, when it cuts to the closeup of Carr's widow pouring the drink, the woman in the closeup has long nails and is not wearing a belt. In the following shots Janet Carr is wearing a long red belt and her nails are shorter. (00:08:50)

Continuity mistake: When Sara uses Rockford's knockout drops in Jerry's drink, Sara's manicured fingernails are quite long in the closeup yet considerably shorter otherwise. The ring on Sara's ring finger also changes to a very large turquoise ring in the closeup.

Continuity mistake: When Sara opens the yellow pages phone directory, in the wide shots she's looking at Rockford's information on the left page of the open book, but in the closeup Rockford's ad appears on the right page of the open book. (00:10:15)
Continuity mistake: Jim at the end of the episode follows Rocky to his pick-up truck. While they are going there, he's checking out some girl in jeans shorts. About 20 seconds later he's making a comment about art being a hedge against inflation, and in the background the same girl is walking in the same direction. (00:48:30)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford slumps into the chair outside of his trailer, a man in bathing shorts disappears during the mid-action cut. (00:47:30)
Continuity mistake: When Rockford is rescued by Marilyn, a scarf appears under his head suddenly when it cuts to a close-up. (00:33:25)
