Pitch Black (2000)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Paris is blaming Jack for some noises in the ship, they see the silhouette of someone they think is Riddick. Zeke shoots him from behind and blood spurts all over Shazza in front of the man, but when he falls there's no blood or holes in his chest.

Correction: Because he was shot in the head and neck. One abbrasion on the forehead, the other on the left neck.

Nikki

Corrected entry: In the scene where Gandalf and Saruman are walking and talking about the Ring being in the Shire all along, there is grass and trees growing, and a corner of the tower of Isengard is seen. However, later in the movie when we see the tower of Isengard, the surrounding area is all charred and black. So where did Gandalf and Saruman go walking?

Correction: Gandalf and Saruman are walking at Isengard long before Saruman ruins the area to create the Uruk Hai. The Ents are drawn into the war because of what Saruman does to the area, including cutting down the trees at the edge of Fangorn Forest.

Shrek 2 (2004)

Corrected entry: When Donkey, etc. are in chains, he says something about not being read his Miranda rights. Although it's common practice to read these rights upon arrest, it's not a must. As long as the Miranda rights are read before any interrogation or questioning takes place, there's no problem.

RoyT

Correction: That may be true, but most citizens believe they are to be read upon arrest. The generalities of the law are more well known than the particulars.

Snatch (2000)

Corrected entry: When Tony is shooting at Boris and he just won't die, Tony fires a total of 8 shots, the last one being Tony actually aiming down the sights. Desert Eagle magazines only hold 7 rounds.

Correction: Tony is a blagger who actually has a .44 Magnum, rather than a .50AE. You can see from close up shots that it has a teardrop shape safety, which means it's a Mk1 which was never chambered in 50. A .44 mag holds 8 rounds and a .357 holds 9. The really ugly "Desert Eagle .50" font on the gun is also non standard. So I reckon he has a .44 magnum that just has "desert eagle .50" written on the side. He consistently fires 8 rounds before reloading. How Avi fires about 11 shots with it in the "look in the dog" scene is a different matter.

Correction: Unless he put one in the chamber. Then there would be 7 in the magazine too, making it 8 rounds total.

The Dark Crystal (1982)

Corrected entry: Note: Spoiler. The "good" race is said to be dying, while the "evil" race is flourishing. As the ending makes clear, each individual of each race is really half of one split individual. Thus, there must at all times be precisely the same number of individuals in each race.

CC

Correction: Flourishing here seems to mean wealthy as opposed to population numbers. The "bad" race (Skeksis) were using the life force of other creatures in order to maintain their lives. There were no children shown of either race shown. This is not a mistake. Both races were dying. Did you see any children Mystics or Skekses? Also, the crystal had to be "healed" by the time of the great conjunction. It is possible that if it weren't healed, that the personalities would be separated permanently and therefore the Mystics would die and the Skekses would flourish.

M*A*S*H (1972)

Correction: I haven't seen the episode, but a blood pressure cuff does not need to be above the elbow, it just needs to be over an artery, any artery close enough to the surface to get a reading. Often, if the arms are too large, or if there are problems with the upper arm, a cuff may be placed below the elbow, around the wrist, even on legs if there is no other place, though that doesn't happen very often.

Nikki

Correction: Technically, that is correct. The real error is that the cuffs use Velcro, which wasn't invented till well after Korean War.

That '70s Show (1998)

Correction: Yeah, that would be the blue M&M that was created in 1998. Not the green, which has been around for longer, say, since 1960. But it was taken out in 1976 due to the food coloring and brought back in 1987 according to this website: http://www4.district125.k12.il.us/faculty/mfinlay/webFall02/timelines/Rothfeld/m&mhistory.html.
