Continuity mistake: Late in the film, Clare becomes unpopular again and a girl throws a drink at her shirt. The stain the drink makes changes considerably when she is cleaning it in the bathroom mirror (it is darker and more messy). The stain then is back to what it was earlier after that (before we see her wish for her mother to be alive).

Notice in the background, the lights are blinking on and off. The alien ship hasn't fired it's main weapon yet. Once it does they show the lights flickering off and on in the control room. These scenes are several minutes apart.

Continuity mistake: In the beginning when the hijackers are trying to take off at the airport there is a shot where the plane goes over some emergency vehicles (before it takes off). These vehicles disappear in the following shot when the plane hits the tree branches. Also, a taxiing jet would've blown the vehicles and people around. Nothing of the sort happens in that scene.
