Friends (1994)

Answer: Much like a lot of things in sitcoms there are certain aspects that get fazed out temporarily or completely because they don't fit the story line. However, in 'The Last One', Joey mentions that the chick and the duck went to live in a special farm when they grew old; meaning that they died of old age. In the same episode Rachel confirms this when she asks "Didn't they die?"

Dawn of the Dead (2004)

Question: Was it ever explained why the zombies massed outside the mall?

Answer: It was actually explained in both versions that the zombies went to the mall because it was a place of familiarity, a place that they could remember even if they didn't know why.

Question: If Vivica Fox's daughter is 4 years old, why was she on a school bus?

Answer: Even for a child as young as that age, who is probably in pre-school, they still have buses that take them to school. Having grown up in America I rode on one with children that young.

21 grams (2003)

Answer: The title refers to an experiment in 1907 which attempted to show scientific proof of the existence of the soul by recording a loss of body weight (said to represent the departure of the soul) immediately following death. Referred to as the 21 grams experiment as one subject lost "three-fourths of an ounce" (21.3 grams), the experiment is regarded by the scientific community as flawed and unreliable, though it has been credited with popularizing the concept that the soul weighs 21 grams. (Wikipedia).

Answer: It's called this because supposedly at the time of death everyone loses 21 grams of body weight. Sean Penn's character does a monologue near the end of the movie that goes into this theory.

Question: This question is about the scene where John Candy is the driver, and Steve Martin is the passenger in the rented car. Steve is unaware at one point, that they are going the wrong way on the highway. He becomes aware, after looking out the window and down onto the shoulder of the road with the wet snow splashing up. As soon as he looks at that, he knows they are going the wrong way. What was it about the road that made him realize it?

Answer: The reason was that the snowbank was on his side (the passenger side) when it should have been on the driver's side if they were driving in the right direction. Also and I'm not sure if you could see this in the film but the deflecters on the road which separate the lanes if you are going in the right direction shine yellow and if you are going the wrong way shine red.

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Chosen answer: There is the tomato soup reference at the diner which is referring to God parting the Red Sea for Moses. Then at the party we see Bruce leaning on the golden calf which is another reference to the Bible's 10 Commandments where it says that "thou shalt not worship any false idols." Meaning that only the faithful must worship God and no false entities. Again at the party Bruce is coming upstairs with a pitcher of water and a glass of wine which is a reference to Jesus turning water into wine at a social function. When God and Bruce meet out on the water this is a reference to Jesus walking on water and the search engine Bruce uses on his computer Yahweh, is also another name for God.
