Continuity mistake: After Monica Bellucci rises up from the bed, the bedding instantly changes from pink, to a shiny fabric of many different colours. When Dracula flies into the room, the bedding goes back to pink, before becoming shiny again. (00:32:30)

Continuity mistake: As Dracula pours Jonathan wine in the castle, the arm-shaped, wall mounted torch on Jonathan's right is lit. A few shots later, as Dracula remarks, "That relationship was not entirely successful", the torch is unlit, but in the following wide shot where he draws the sword, the torch is burning again. In the shot where an angry Dracula says, "We Draculs have a right to be proud!", the torch is once again unlit. (00:14:15)

Revealing mistake: When Dracula escapes from Mina's bedchamber, he transforms into a figure of rats. If you look at the waist area beneath the humanoid rat figure's right arm, you can see one of the metal rods of the armature that was used to create the rat dummy. Continuity mistake: When Elisabeta commits suicide by jumping into the river, her suicide letter is lying on the floor (it is definitely the suicide letter and not the false message from the Turks, because the words and handwriting are 100% identical to the suicide letter that Vlad finds - the actual message from the Turks can be seen in a brief flashback during the scene with Mina and Dracula at the restaurant later in the film). However, when Vlad picks up and reads the letter, it is a different piece of paper: The frayed edges at the top have disappeared and the parchment itself is longer, with more distance between the bottom lines of the message and the bottom of the paper. Continuity mistake: When Dracula drops Mina off the coach, and in the establishing shot of the scene where Van Helsing tasks Quincey with guarding Lucy, there is a giant fence outside Hillingham, Lucy's estate, with considerable distance between the fence and the estate. However, the opening wide shot of the scene where Dracula arrives in London shows that the building is facing the edge of a giant hill, with no fence outside (it is definitely the same side of the building, because the architecture is identical). Continuity mistake: When Van Helsing hypnotizes Mina, the candle he is holding changes throughout the scene: In the shots facing Van Helsing, long pieces of wax are sticking up from the top of the candle, while in the shots facing Mina, they're gone. (01:43:40)

Continuity mistake: When Lucy tells Mina that she's accepted Arthur's marriage proposal, we see the garden pond at the bottom of the stairs leading up to Lucy's bedroom, which has a pedestal in the middle, topped with a tall, pointed pyramid sculpture. When Dracula enters Lucy's garden maze after the Demeter docks in London, the camera pans up the stairs and back again, and the pyramid has a different shape and is much smaller. When Lucy walks down the stairs in a trance, the large pyramid is back. (00:36:40 - 00:40:20)

Continuity mistake: When Van Helsing is dining with Jonathan and Mina, as he asks Jonathan about the vampire women, he is holding his glass of ale up to his lips, but when the camera angle changes, his drinking glass appears at the bottom of the screen, back on the table. The camera cuts to another view of Van Helsing, where the glass is back in his hand as he downs his drink, emptying the glass; however, when Mina kisses Jonathan's cheek, the glass appears at the bottom of the screen and it is full again. Continuity mistake: When Mina and Jonathan are dining with Van Helsing, in some shots, Mina's drinking glass is full, but in two shots facing Van Helsing, the glass can be seen in the lower right hand corner, and it is empty. (01:27:50)

Continuity mistake: When the men open Lucy's grave, Van Helsing's lamp and hammer, sitting on top of the stone lid, switch position between the shot of Van Helsing and the following shot from above. The same thing happens after they see the empty coffin. (01:21:20)

Continuity mistake: When Jonathan looks at Mina's picture aboard the train, and when Dracula sees her picture in his castle, her face is turned to one side. When Van Helsing hypnotizes her, there is a visual of the photo against a burning backdrop, and the picture is reversed, with Mina's face turned to the opposite side. (00:09:32 - 01:43:35)

Continuity mistake: After Mina discovers the "Arabian Nights" book while she's typing, a chair behind her moves closer to the desk between the wideshot of her from behind, and when Lucy walks over to her. (00:18:15)

Continuity mistake: When Lucy enters the crypt, the candles on her left side ignite twice, once in the wide shot where she walks down the stairs and once in the following close-up of the candles. (01:22:40)

Revealing mistake: In the scene where Lucy is done in by Dracula in wolf form, as she dies, blood is exploded into the room by "supernatural" forces. If you look in the torrent of blood, you will see the gas, I assume carbon dioxide, from the special effect cannon appear and evaporate. (01:21:00)

Continuity mistake: When Elisabeta is lying dead in the chapel, the neck on her dress and the top of the bodice keep alternating between being pale green/yellowish and having a dark green color. For example, when Vlad picks up her suicide letter, the collar area is dark green, but after Vlad drinks from the chalice, the collar area of her dress has a pale yellowish color. (00:03:20)

Continuity mistake: When the great doors to Dracula's castle open, an ornate table with a statuette and two large candle holders is standing inside the castle. When Dracula's shadow appears, the statuette is still there, but the candle holders are gone. (00:12:35)
