THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Question: What did Katniss mean by asking if Gale's bread was real? I understand they don't often get bread in the Seam but how could it not be real?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: She is wondering if she might be dreaming.

Modern Family (2009)

Answer: There are videos on YouTube on how to uncork a wine bottle using a shoe.

Question: There is a fanfic that I am looking for that is a version of Prisoner of Azkaban. I've been looking for it for a long time. The only helpful thing I can say is the 6th chapter is called "Harry protects Hermione." Does anyone know where I can find it?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: You could try fanfiction.net. It has fictional stories written by many people.

I have. That's where I first found it years ago.

Answer: Since Peter is her date, she doesn't want her Dad to go overboard with questioning him and potentially make Peter uncomfortable and their date awkward.

Phaneron

Answer: It's a little shorter and curlier. The bangs are also a little different. It's hardly surprising since a few months have passed from the end of the school year in HP2 and the start of HP3, just before the new school year begins. All the younger characters have changing hairstyles throughout the series.

The Hunger Games (2012)

Question: Why is Katniss so protective of Prim? I have only read the first book so maybe in future books it's explained?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Besides Prim being her younger sister, when their father died, her mother basically shut down out of depression, leaving Katniss to raise Prim for the most part. She has a bond that goes beyond what some sisters might normally have.

Bishop73

Question: Why did Thor let Cap have some of his drink that he said mortal men can't have. I know that Cap's super soldier serum makes him stronger, but he's still human.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: By mortal men, he probably just means ordinary. Since Cap has super powers, Thor doesn't consider him ordinary (plus the we learn in Captain America: The First Avenger that his advanced metabolism prevents him from getting drunk). Since Thor also relents and allows the WWII veterans to partake in the drink as well, it's safe to assume he doesn't consider it to be deadly for humans to have.

Phaneron

Answer: Cap now has a superhuman metabolism, as shown in the first Cap movie when he was unable to get drunk after Bucky died.

Are We There Yet? (2005)

Question: Why were the kids crying after Nick said all that after the car burned down. I get their feelings might have been hurt but with all the other stuff he said why would that of all things make them cry?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Because what he said was true.

Question: Hermione couldn't understand why Ron wouldn't wear what his mother made him for Christmas but I am curious, was Hermione wearing what Mrs Weasley made for her when they were walking down the stairs?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: No, she's wearing her own sweater when going down the stairs.

raywest

Then why would she not get why Ron isn't wearing it when she isn't wearing her own gift from Mrs Weasley?

Ron has a long history of being embarrassed by his mother's rather odd homemade gifts. Unlike Hermione, because his family was poor, he had few options on what else he could wear. Hermione, being a guest, would not be expected to wear her gift at any particular time. She also thinks Ron is over-reacting.

The Simpsons (1989)

Answer: Season 23 Episode 9.

Ssiscool

Answer: The episode is "A Totally Fun Thing That Bart Will Never Do Again."

Sierra1

Answer: He mentioned in an interview that a lot of characters were going to die. Recently on the Graham Norton Show he revealed that he had his phone on and was live streaming the premiere of the movie towards all his followers, by accident. Only for 10 minutes or something and only audio.

Question: When Gryffindor wins the house cup Hermione has a bandage on her hand. Why did she need it? If it's about the Devil's Snare thing she would have been rubbing it a lot longer.

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: It's there to help her wounds from the whole ordeal. You say she would have rubbed her hand for longer but not really. In the heat of the moment she's probably running on adrenaline and just blocks the pain out.

Ssiscool

Answer: When she falls through the devil's snare, there is a considerable drop so she could have landed awkwardly. She also has hold of a vine when she falls through so may have caught her hand that way.

Ssiscool

Answer: Ron's shoes that were taken off him when he was put into the bed. That's why they disappear when Harry and Hermione go back in time. If you play it in slowmo, you can see it when they disappear.

lionhead

Why were they taken off him? Pomfrey could still fix his leg if they were on.

Probably because it's simply more comfortable. Odds are good he would be spending the night in the hospital wing, so he wouldn't wear them to sleep.

Friends (1994)

Answer: In this episode I think Monica knew Phoebe had to clean so she asked if she wanted to go to the movies, knowing she would say no, and she had brought her label maker with her so she could help.

Answer: If you mean why didn't Hermione freak out its been proven time and time again that Hermione is a lot more calm and in control of herself than Ron is. She was able to keep cool around him. Plus Ron was pretty hurt and probably in shock. If you mean why she didn't save Pettigrew its because she knows who he is and what he did, she finds him quite repulsive.

lionhead

What I meant was she didn't seem weirded out when Pettigrew was all "sweet girl, clever girl" and I wondered why.

Answer: Ron's still in a bit of physical and emotional shock. He was dragged into the Shrieking Shack by what he thought was a vicious animal (Sirius Black) that was going to kill him. His leg was injured when he was being pulled through the tunnel and he's in pain. The biggest issue is his learning that his "beloved" pet rat, Scabbers, was actually Pettigrew, who, for the past few years, was constantly with Ron, being held by him, sleeping in his bed... Ron was totally disgusted by finding out of the truth. That's why Hermione's reaction is different.

Logan (2017)

Answer: It's just a continuity mistake. The blade rips a hole in the shoe, but the hole disappears later on... that's a continuity mistake. It's definitely not a plot hole. A plot hole is more a gap or contradiction in a film's internal logic, or when a film leaves out vital information. (Ex. If a character is established as having a deadly nut allergy, but is eating nuts later on with no ill effect... that would be a plot-hole).

TedStixon

Answer: I would classify that as a plot hole.

raywest

It would only be a plot hole if somehow the lack of holes in the shoes was written into the plot that some effect on the plot. Of course, someone would probably correct the entry by saying she could have had a 2nd pair or they bought a new pair if it was integral to the plot.

Bishop73

Answer: Well Dr. Strange used the time stone to see how they could fight him and they executed that plan, though as Strange knew they wouldn't win against him. Eventually Thanos did beat them but I suppose advanced technology and strength in numbers were a good advantage even if he had 4 stones. I think they intentionally went for speed and his mind as that's the 2 stones he was still missing.

lionhead

Answer: Since they are in possession of the Time Stone and Doctor Strange is hiding it with magic, he may have decided to refrain from killing all of them, otherwise locating the stone afterwards could prove a difficult task.

Phaneron

Answer: He could have, but Thanos sees himself as merciful and doing the right thing. He fights the Avengers and Guardians in order to stop them and gain the Infinity Stones. He has no particular interest in killing any of them.
