The Texas Chainsaw Massacre mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the scene where the Sheriff is wrapping the suicide victim's body, he has a roll of plastic wrap. He is shown with the box, then as he begins to wrap the head, he has just the roll, and in the next shot it is back in the box again. He presumably would have left it out of the box the entire time, since the box would only get in the way of trying to wrap the body. (00:33:00)

Continuity mistake: As someone pointed out earlier, the poster for the commemoration of the Five Points battle claims to be the 16th anniversary, but the date shows 1863 -- 17 years after the 1846 battle. To further add to the confusion, when William Cutting is talking to Amsterdam in the bedroom after the night at the brothel, he says, "I killed the last honorable man [Priest Vallon] 15 years ago [in the Five Points battle]." So which is it? 15, 16, or 17 years? (00:02:42)

Continuity mistake: When Amsterdam is in the Chinese ballroom the first time, he shows an unfolded sheet of paper with a drawing to the man sitting across the table from him. In the next shot, he hands the paper - which is now folded - to the man, who then unfolds it. (00:33:30)

Continuity mistake: During the first quasi love scene between Amsterdam and Jenny (after the dance) there is a shot where they begin to kiss, and they are at about the same height, right next to each other. In the next shot, Amsterdam pulls away, and you can see that she was laying back, and he was leaning over her, kissing - a completely different position. (01:07:05)

Audio problem: When the crowd is gathering around Cliff after he falls from the balcony, you can hear a lot of the same background dialog being looped over and over. Some of the easier ones to spot are guys yelling "Right there, man." and "Where is it?" and a girl yelling "Stop." Those three can be heard distinctly at least three times. (01:08:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Cliff falls from the balcony and crowd is gathering, watch the pavement during the shot that pans across the street as the ambulance arrives. You can see the shadow of the boom mic and operator running with the crowd. (01:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When Buckley is spooked by Josh and Cooper and runs from the bathroom, there is a shot inside the room as Josh and Cooper run out. This shot is from inside Buckley's room, not the bathroom. (01:06:45)

Gabbo

Plot hole: While planting the suicide gear in the bathroom before Buckley comes in, Cooper tells Josh to tie the rope into a noose as they go to hide in the shower. Josh replies that he doesn't even know how to tie a noose. He must be a quick study, because in the 45 seconds or so that it would have taken Buckley to relieve himself and wash his hands, Josh has tied a perfect noose. (01:03:55)

Plot hole: When Josh is spraying the trees outside of Buckley's apartment, he turns to Rachel, and she says "Josh?" How could she recognize him from 20 feet away when he was wearing a full body hazmat suit and a gas mask? (01:00:10)

Gabbo

Continuity mistake: When Josh and Cooper first confront Buckley, you can see snow covering the ground outside the window. When Buckley runs out of the building and Josh and Cooper watch from the window, he is running across a lush green lawn. (00:56:30)

Audio problem: In the high speed chase scene, Cliff pulls a gun out of the glove box and fires several rounds at the police, which showed a bright muzzle flash. We hear Cliff fire another barrage of shots out the window, but he is not pulling the trigger, and there is no muzzle flash. (00:54:00)

Other mistake: Just as Cooper dives through an open window to escape the security guard, the window falls, causing him to crash through the glass. There is nothing in the area that could have affected the window, and no reason it should have fallen, other than for effect. (00:43:00)

Plot hole: In his mad dash from the security guard at the Mental Health Facility, Cooper drops about 90% of the file folders he had taken. Yet he somehow manages to hold onto the files for the main people they were photographing earlier in the film. You can argue that he guarded those files better, but then why bother grabbing so many "expendable" files in the first place? It just seems like a cheap plot device. (00:42:30)

Gabbo

Continuity mistake: When Josh and Cooper break into the Mental Health Facility, we see the entire pane of glass broken out and falling towards the camera. In the next shot, we still hear Cooper breaking away glass, and when Josh flips the window up, broken glass still remains in the frame, even though the whole pane was gone. (00:39:55)

Audio problem: When the teacher is collecting the mid-term exams, he takes one from a student and says "Thank you," then says "Papers..." to the class, but his lips don't move. (00:25:40)

Gabbo

Continuity mistake: When Josh is hurriedly filling out his mid-term exam, he fills in an answer for 3, then in a long shot we see him scribbling in at least 2-3 more answers, but in the next close up, he is just filling in 4. (00:25:40)

Continuity mistake: When Cooper is getting pitchers at the bar, his jacket and shirt are closed and he has his wallet in his left hand. The skeptical bartender asks what is on his shirt, and when the shot changes, the jacket and shirt are now open, revealing a college logo on the shirt underneath. Cooper quickly closes the jacket with his empty left hand, without appearing to set his wallet down or put it away. (00:19:20)

Continuity mistake: When Josh is on the phone with his mom and Cooper interrupts, the door and hallway change. When Cooper first barges in, the door appears to be very light in color, and a door and light fixture are visible in the hall. Less than a minute later, when Josh opens the door, the door is a much darker wood color, the door across the hall has been replaced with a column and molding, and the light fixture has moved quite a bit from where it was. Commando (1985)

Revealing mistake: In the siege at the end, there is a shot where you can hear the squibs (small charges that explode on a stuntman to make it appear he was shot by a bullet) going off on one of the soldiers as Matrix shoots him. (01:13:10)

Commando (1985)

Revealing mistake: At the end of the fight between Matrix and Bennett, Matrix throws a pipe through his body into the steam duct behind him. However, immediately after he is pierced by the pipe, we see Bennett slide about half a foot down the wall, which would be impossible with the pipe lodged in behind him. (01:24:00)
